Calgary Expo 2009

For those in the Alberta area of Canada or for those wanting to travel a little, Calgary hosts the 'Calgary Expo'. This is a sci-fi\comic book convention, though the name doesn't come close to saying that. I've been to it the past couple years and it's great. Not nearly as big as those down the states I'm sure, but it's still great fun.

Last year I was able to meet Ethan Van Sciver. This year I believe that Bruce Timm is making a return appearance and I'm really hoping to grab a GL sketch from him.

Ya know...I just might be able to make that. My dad and I are going to Slave Lake sometime in April to see my grandpa, maybe I can swing it so we can get down to Calgary. Sort of a long-shot, but you never know.

No problem.

I didn't even know about it till 3 years ago my brother living in Calgary pointed it out to me. As I said the name they gave doesn't even represent what it is.
It's pretty kewl to see who they get in. Heck, last year I met George Takei, Joe Ng and Lou Ferrigno as well.

It's fun, I enjoy it.
