I'll see what I can do. You should make the background on your avatar black that way the finer details show up. You can also try saving it as a png image. I see your guy's hair uses the same hair as my Kyles LOL

The mask being gone is symbolic in the story. When Kyle gets to that point in the story he wants Sinestro to know its Kyle Rayner he's facing, not the clunky mask or the badge or the ring [when he reveals he absorbed a piece of the Starheart].

Also with the green energy eyes, the idea was he'd actually do it to a point to conceal his ID. It would make sense if photos and cameras couldn't get around the glare.

I'm actually done with the first chapter, if you wanna give me some feedback....
