I said for YEARS the red undies and belt of Superman should be removed from his costume and people constantly said the same type of thing... "You need red or gold in there to break up all that blue..." While an actual belt and the red undies were removed for the MoS movie costume and replaced with more of a floating buckle, the New52 Superman ditched a gold belt and red undies for a red belt.

I think I'll post some original Superman and Superboy designs next just to do something with more of a theme.

Kinda feel like I'm back in another Legion of Superheroes mood, so I came up with this Starboy redesign the other night. May post the sketch later on, but for now here's the micros...



The hood covering his face and projecting a starfield is supposed to be similar to his old full face mask. Gives him a slightly more mysterious look when the hood's up. His eyes, symbol, and wrist guards are all yellow/gold as would his powers which I'd also probably tweak a tad. Not sure who I'll do next...

What are the odds of getting some Swamp Thing micros? I"m sure I've seen one, but I don't feel like going back to find it.

It would be kinda cool to see you do a blue one, the predecessor to the current ST. Maybe even a few versions of the current one, like when he had horns and wings and how he is now. The fungus one? Just putting it out there.

Current RP I'm in, this is the Justice League Reserves [mostly Young Justice members of the year 2021]...



Batman is leading this group after Superman's team was taken down. The Flash is on his team as well now basically a living lightning bolt, as well as Shazam's former sidekick inheriting the full power of his mentor.

Well... anyway here's what I've figured out as far as the new DCYou Flash suit. Waaaay too many yellow lines for my liking, and I didn't think anything could be worse than the lines on the last suit when he was mid-run...

I don't think all of his redesigns are bad, but a lot of them are way too overdone. Any time I redesign a character I think about how other artists will handle certain details. You can't over-complicate things.

I'm currently in the process of redesigning the entire JL. The lineup includes the shirtless Manhunter above as well as the new Kyle however slightly tweaked.
