Yeah, people way overestimate samurai. I've read a lot about them and they were great swordsmen, but there's some serious problems with them both morally (rampant pederasty) and tactically (large numbers of them were slain by peasants).

Worth checking out if you're an Alien and Predator fan, of course, just be ready to see some dodgy stuff from time to time. For example, I'm pretty sure a couple shots in the movie it's literally just guys just off-camera leaning forward an Alien head to make it look like an Alien is peeking around the corner. Definitely a very ruthless movie, though. Also, it introduces the Yutani Corporation.

Off-topic, but one of my biggest gripes about the Predator movies is how they kind of abandoned the Predators' speech parroting tech. There was a lot of it in Predator 1 and 2, then it was like completely forgotten about. It's not in Prey, either.
Right. I love Predator and really like Alien, so they're all must-see for me. I geeked out about seeing Predator home world, but it's like less than a minute. They do some cool things, but in a not cool movie.

On the plus side, the main Predator in AVPR himself, "Wolf," is pretty cool. He's like a Predator Cleaner specialist, someone sent in to clean up messes left behind by other Predators. He was memorable enough that the guys who make the "Predator: Hunting Grounds" game added him as DLC a couple of months back.

I always thought he was the dad of the dead Pred. Huh.
