  • Godzilla (2014)

Definitely better than '98, but I still like every suitmation version better. He looked pretty good (though his feet are too stubby), but the movie was slow. It took 50 minutes to see the big G and another 10 before you see his face.

    • Neighbors - Fun but not as good as I expected it to be.

      • Henry V (1989)

"This day is call'd the feast of Crispian. He that outlives this day, and comes safe home, will stand a tip-toe when this day is nam'd, and rouse him at the name of 'Crispian.'"

Love this version. Great performance. And it features a tween Christian Bale.

        • Great version. Anything Shakespeare with Kenneth Brannagh involved is pretty much guaranteed to be fantastic.
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

          • I remember I watch Henry V in high school English class, and I thought it was awesome when the gift was presented and it was two balls; great metaphor.

"Space is disease and danger wrapped in darkness and silence."

To Kill a Mocking Bird (1962)

"I'm no idealist to believe firmly in the integrity of our courts and of our jury system - that's no ideal to me. That is a living, working reality."

^Watched this again for my church film club.

                    King of Devil's Island (2010)

"I once saw a whale swim with three harpoons in it. It took the entire day to die. He was weak due to the harpoon I shot him with. And covered with scars from all the battles he had fought."

Based on the true story of events in a 1915 juvenile detention island in Norway. Pretty interesting.

Holy shit, this was funny. My buddy told me about the RV rollover scene, and it was worth every laugh. Brick's funeral, the huge fight at the end, Brick's romance, the condoms, just so much to love about this. So many great actors and so many great lines.

                        Very highly recommend.

Well, I won't worry when we disagree about movies anymore because that's just cruel ... and crazy ... cruel and crazy.

I hold the first film in very high regard and was dreading the announcement of a sequel because I thought it wouldn't live up to what the first film did comically. I loved the sequel, every second of it, and was so pleased that it, at the very least, met the same bar the first Anchorman had set years ago.

Plus, that second news team fight was fucking hilarious. KANYE WEST WAS J.J. JACKSON, for crying out loud!

                              • Not as bad as Scream 3, but I still thinkSydney should have been the killer and Jill would be the new star for a new trilogy.
