It wasn't that bad. Not as good as Tucker and Dale, for certain, but a fun watch (at least once).

      • Brick Mansions - This is a nice, shoot-em-up, punch-em-out flick with plenty of action and an okay story, although kind of cliche and a bit over the top. It would have been nice if the Lino character had more background, because he, his fighting style and athleticism was more interesting than Paul Walker's character.

How Rza keeps getting roles is beyond me, although he wasn't as stiff in this as some of his other flicks.

I know. I've pretty much lost track since MK 3 or 4. I still like the story, but I can't keep it straight any more.

Good point. The practical effects in general but the Gillman in particular was excellent for that type of flick.
legacy got green lit for a 3rd season so ill post the date when its release

            • The Bodyguard (1976)

"The path of the righteous man and defender is beset on all sides by the iniquity of the selfish and the tyranny of evil men. Blessed is he, who in the name of charity and good will, shepherds the weak through the valley of darkness, for he is truly his brother's keeper, and the father of lost children. And I will execute great vengeance upon them with furious anger, who poison and destroy my brothers; and they shall know that I am Chiba the Bodyguard when I shall lay my vengeance upon them!"

^That's right, that misquote of Ezekiel 25:17 came from this almost 20 years before Pulp Fiction.

              • Last night's full-moon movie:

                Teen Wolf Too (1987)

Such a derivative flick. The whole main plot is right out of #1 substituting boxing for basketball.

                Also, finished:

                Starship Troopers: Invasion (2012)

Not bad. Actually starts with the opening quote of the novel.

It was alright, I would've liked it more if Orm was like Orm from the comic book and if Vulko was involved.

Also, Michelle Monaghan >> Rosario Dawson
I thought this was just okay. The Justice League didn't even need to be in this flick. It might have been better as a standalone Aquaman film with more development to its central characters instead of shoe-horning in the Justice League for sales.

"I'm gonna love you for the rest of my life.
-Just love me for the rest of mine."

In some ways, I found this "difficult" to watch---it's very dark and stories about people wrongfully accused always bother me---but it was also very entertaining and grabbed me (like watching an accident or something).

"I feel almost like James Bond. Except no gorgeous girls."

Despite the lesser fight ratio, this may be my favorite Jackie Chan movie. It does feel like a Bond flick, but with Jackie's stunts and humor.

Yoda: "Pain, suffering, death I feel. Something terrible has happened. Young Skywalker is in pain. Terrible pain."

Sometimes, I like to watch the SW movies out of sequence; tonight I was jonesing for Episode II. Just something about seeing this kid suffer so much when he's trying to be the best he can be. I can't help but feel bad for him in a way. Sometimes, I don't understand why people have to go through so much pain in their lives, and for what? To end up evil, or dead? Meh. So yadda yadda clones yadda yadda Yoda with a lightsaber yadda yadda Darth Sidious.

                          • Eh, I felt like Anakin was a moron in this movie, and acted like a creepy stalker toward Padme. I found it SOOO unbelievable when she suddenly returned his "affection" at the end. Yes, it sucks that his mom died, and I lay that one at the Jedi Order's feet for having such stupid, restrictive policies that he never got to go see his mom (or even communicate with her) all those years. But MAN, was he a whiny, entitled loser.

                            • Yeah, it starts out with Padme telling Anakin, "Ani, you'll always be that little boy I knew on Tatooine..." Throughout the movie, he really does nothing romantic to gain her affection, and she suddenly changes her tune to his creepy advances. It would have made more sense if he was using Force chicanery.

                              • The scene that stood out for me as far as bitchy Anakin goes was when he and Padme were in Padme's room on Coruscant and he was going through his "it's not fair!" crap and then she's like "Don't look at me that way." When he lost his mother in his arms? I wanted to fucking die.
