Thanks to the F&F movies I have learned that no ugly women and very few fat men attend street races.

You think? She was pretty famous when she was in #2 and F&F isn't exactly slumming it.

Yeah, sure... now, but back then the first flick was nothing but a Point Blank clone with some weak writing. West will hate me for this, but I find 2 Fast 2 Furious to be the weakest of the original films (Except for Tokyo Drift, I don't even acknowledge that flick ' existence). I just think a lot of the problems that were there in the first film weren't really resolved in he sequel.

I was listening more to the movie rather than actually watching it as I was cleaning the house. It sounded pretty lame as I didn't find a lot of laugh out loud moments.

This is the actual version of the dvd I have, too (the double feature).

"Kharis!" -The only thing the victims say before they die.

And so begins the formulatic one-dimensional run of the Mummy movies from Universal.

You have to love that some exec thought it was a good idea to transfer a Mummy story to suburban America!

I thought this was a wonderful movie as it had great characters and compelling drama where you can feel the tension coming through the screen. Out of all the movies that I've watched that were nominated for best picture, Whiplash is my favorite (The includes Birdman. Next up is the Imitation Game.
JK Simmons performance was worth of his Oscar win.

And set in my home state of Massachusetts, no less! I should probably look to see if the town in the movie is a real town in MA.

                          • Boyz in the Hood - I remember seeing this in the theater in 1991 and exiting with my mind blown.

Funny how the entire group NWA was supposed to star in this film, but their falling out with Ice Cube stopped that from happening. Even funnier that John Singleton hooked up with Ice Cube on the set of the Arsenio Hall show when Cube was there to confront Hall on why his group couldn't perform on the show (the executive producers wouldn't allow it).

That movie is very far from my white, suburban experience, but it was sooo good.
