I don't think it is bad as it's made out to be (i.e. worse than Catwoman, Green Lantern, Batman & Robin, etc.)

Horrible, cheap Terminator rip-off, but funny in its badness. Watched it after seeing the Dark Corners review.

      • The Gambler - This wasn't as bad as the reviews let on, but it still wasn't great... and nobody that gets as far in life as the main character is that stupid.

A pretty good flick, all things considered. Of course, they embellish some things, put one or two things on screen I question the validity of, but that's to be expected when two of the guys from the group having producers credits and an overriding desire to portray the late Eazy-E in a positive light are creatively behind the wheel. Still, it was a solid flick, I enjoyed every performance, even if one or two were lacking in anything to do (Here's to you, MC Ren and DJ Yella, we hardly saw or heard from ye), and was surprised by how much this movie went out of its way to vilify Suge Knight, not that he needs any help with that, but still... After Eazy gets diagnosed with AIDS, it kinda takes a turn into Paul Walker/Furious 7 territory, but the difference being we already know what happened, so the bits of revisionist history are a bit off-putting; as far as I know, there wasn't any attempt to bring NWA back together on Eazy's part or with agreements from Ice Cube or Dr. Dre to do so, but then what're you gonna tell movie star Ice Cube and image-conscious billionaire Dr. Dre about their deceased friend? Also, the choice to almost perpetually dub over the actors' voices with that of their predecessors during segments where they were rapping was particularly jarring, the actors behind Eazy-E, Ice Cube, and MC Ren only briefly giving glimpses of their own vocal talent, and the actor behind Dr. Dre never once contributing his own voice to any of the production. I mean, I get it, they're actors, not singers, but O'Shea Jr. is a rapper. He can't rap his own father's shit? Seems a bit lazy to me.

Again, overall, I'd say if you're at all a fan of the group, to give it a watch. It is, if nothing else, entertaining, and all the nekkid women don't hurt.

            • There was a brief nwa reunion after easys death that also included snoop.

Also suge isn't and wasn't a good business man, he just got lucky that the right mix of talent was available within a short period of time and was able to capitalize on it, and has been living off that fame for 20 years. A good business man would still be having hits made but all his talent went elsewhere or I'd dead.

Oh, he isn't portrayed ONE BIT as a good businessman in this movie. He's way more of a thug, the muscle for hire who used others to get him to a place of wealth.

I won't deny death row made some good albums but that's more to the talent he signed more than his own sense of business

Wanted to see this since Agent's recommendation and loved it (probably more than he did). There's a ton of cameos including one by both the leads
from CHiPs that made me smile. Several of the jokes (in that corny, spoof style) made me LOL.

Watched the dub of this TV anime movie and I thought I recognized a voice from Speedracer. Sure enough, the voice of Sprittle played the talking squirrel and the village child here.

yea theres so many things said about suge i cant even keep track. i remember one rumor saying before he bailed pac out of prison suge drew up some contract on tp for him to sign. i know i heard it from a documentary but the exact ones name escapes me atm. i also remember suge threatened dre to make sure that whatever dre did music wise under deathrow that material stays at deathrow .

now as far as nwa a lot of people said the film never touched on dre with his history of assulting his ex gfs or how dre hired goons with bats to force him out of the contract with eazy e.

i just think if your going to do a biopicture on anybody show everything dont just show one side ya know?

i didnt see the film yet but its been getting rave reviews

Shep Ramsey (Hulk Hogan) is the most badass interstellar hero of them all, but when he needs to lay low, he has to deal with the spineless Charlie Wilcox (Christopher Lloyd), his wife (Shelley Duvall), their kids, and the rest of planet Earth. Oh, and the bad guys are still on his trail.

I haven't seen this since I was a kid. Such a great film with a lot of great effects, one-liners, references (Hogan talking about xenomorphs) and a degree of corniness that just can't be disliked.

And then bounty hunters, man. Hilarious.

That's bizarre. Since I've been in this classic WWF mood (since Piper's death), I've had a hankering to see that again, but I haven't since it's not on Instant Netflix and I don't own it yet. I even added it to my Amazon Wish List just a few days ago. I did end up watching No Holds Barred again, though, despite having watched it just four months ago.
