Isn't this movie being remade?.. or is it another flick with coincidentally with the same title?
It's being remade. It's going to be like the Total Recall movie; some similarities but too many creative changes to be totally faithful to the original. It will be available for home video in March.

It's a Wonderful Life (1946)
"Just remember this, Mr. Potter, that this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community. Well, is it too much to have them work and pay and live and die in a couple of decent rooms and a bath?"

Yeah. I try to remain open minded, but that trailer didn't make me want to see it. It did, however, make me want to re-watch the original.
"I cannot deactivate until you say you are satisfied with your treatment."
This was a really funny, sweet, and genuinely touching film. I found the humanitarian element, Tadashi's desire to help people through Baymax and more beyond that, to be very uplifting. The parallels between Hiro and the villain are also noteworthy.
I did really enjoy the characters. You arguably learned more about Fred than anyone, but they had some excellent nods to superhero culture (Stan Lee is his dad, he has a Parallax Hal Jordan-like toy, the kaiju fanaticism, the butler, and more) and I got a huge kick out of that. My dad rather liked Gogo.
I'm going to have to get a copy of this for my collection. Film was amazing. Absolutely must-see material.

Lucy (2014)
"But now we are entering the realms of science-fiction."
As I was watching this (if the director credit was at the beginning I had my head turned), I kept thinking "this feels like a Luc Besson movie." Sure enough, there was his credit. To be fair, I vaguely recall hearing that before, so it may have been in my subconscious.
Ernest Saves Christmas (1988)
"I am at one with the Yuletide, know what I mean?"
The Raven (1963)
"I know I'm a disgrace.
-I had a somewhat stronger word in mind."
Armour of God (1986)
"Those were my best pants!"
Hotel Transylvania (2012)
"Thank you, monster nerd."
Devil's Pass (2013)
"Because Yeti don't exist!"
A not particularly original found-footage horror, but the ending was good.
Scrooge (1970)
"There is never enough time to do or say all the things that we would wish. The thing is to try to do as much as you can in the time that you have."
...and that there's no toilet paper in the future. How could you forget about the "three shells"?
For some reason Demolition Man and Fifth Element are two movies that took on a huge cult status in my family way beyond their general popularity. My mother and I (and occasionally my stepdad) throw quotes from them into our conversations probably at least once a month.
