Ted 2 (2015)
"We just broke into Tom Brady's house and tried to jerk him off; you're ready to be a parent."
Pretty funny (though twice as vulgar as the first), but I hate when a sequel breaks up a couple they set up as love-of-my-life, meaning-of-existence pairing in the original. Yes, I know it happens all the time in real life, but it's disappointing from a movie sequel especially if it was the major goal of the first movie.

GoBots: Battle of the Rock Lords (1986)
The last hurrah of the GoBots whimpers out to a silent death. I missed their show's opening theme, which was not in this movie. I honestly don't know what else to say about this, which is probably for the best.

World of Tomorrow (2015)
"Do not lose time on daily trivialities. Do not dwell on petty detail. For all of these things melt away and drift apart within the obscure traffic of time. Live well and live broadly. You are alive and living now. Now is the envy of all of the dead."
A brilliant, short (16 mins) stick-figure animated movie about a clone who calls her five-year-old original progenitor two centuries before. Highly recommend.

The Vikings (1958)
Morgana: "What is the worst thing for a Viking?"
Eric: "To die without a sword in hand. To be denied entry into Valhalla."
The English are under repeated raids by Vikings, their king slain and the queen ravaged. But the Viking leader, Ragnar (Ernest Borgnine), unwittingly sires a child by the queen. Decades later, the current English king is betrothed to Lady Morgana (Janet Leigh), but she's kidnapped by Ragnar's son Einar (Kirk Douglas) and a treacherous English noble who has been aiding the Vikings. Einar comes to blows with Eric (Tony Curtis), who eventually steals away Morgana back to England, but Einar follows, determined to make Morgana his wife.
This is a pretty good film, despite some inaccuracies here and there (Odin was not a war god, he was the king of the gods; Tyr was the Norse god of war). There was some absolutely gorgeous location shots, and the stunts both in and out of the fights were impressive (Douglas and some others skipping along on longboat oars is a visual treat). The acting is solid, as everyone has a fair share of work under their belts, and the Blu-ray includes trailers for some of that work (The Devil's Disciple, Marty, Taras Bulba, Mr. Majestyk). There is even some narration by Orson Welles.
I can see why my dad liked this from years ago, and I'm glad I picked up the Blu-ray on release.
Highly recommend.Villain Draft 3: Fourth Place Winner
