That's about the right price, though one could conceivably wait for it on Netflix.

Speaking of Netflix, was totally grabbed by the last half of Jessica Jones and am completely converted to its side. The first half took me a long time to get through, but after that I was completely captivated.

Watched (again on Netflix) this movie called "The Bridge" about the GG and jumpers. Moving at times, depressing at others...more than worth checking out.

I was surprised by how much I enjoyed this film, especially with the Egyptian overtones and hearing Metallica's "The Four Horsemen" during the film. I'm a casual X-Fan; I'm fairly sure I've seen all the movies and have enjoyed them for the most part, but the action, story, and visuals in this one are really impressive. Apocalypse is an intriguing character- his whole get-up, his abilities, his place in the Marvel U, but I think I enjoyed Magneto the most. The poor dude tried to start over in earnest, and the bastard humans kept screwing it up for him. No wonder the guy goes crazy for part of the film. Fassenbender is a credit to the role.

        • Wow. MP, thanks so much for your mini-review, I've been on the fence about it due to extremely mixed reviews. Now I want to see it...but after I see Civil War for a second time.

I love that movie. Farley was great!

I'm going to watch this for the second time ever, knowing it's the kind of movie that will be better upon repeated viewings (so much happening!). Really excited.

                Beverly Hills Ninja (1997)

"Hey, you hear the one about the lady who backed into a fan? It was a disaster. Dis-assed her."

                Straw Dogs (1971)

                "Rats is life."

                Escape from Tomorrow (2013)

"Do you know how much depends on this? We had to shut down the Buzz Lightyear!"

I'll talk about this a bit in the horror thread, though it's debatable if it's horror (if it is, then stuff like Mullholland Drive is too).

                • Watched "The Bridge" (documentary).

Powerful movie about Golden Gate suicides, includes actual jumps.

That and First Class are the only two X-men films I like, and I LOVE them. I'll be watching both again before I go see Apocalypse Tuesday.

                          Last night:

Had to watch Age of Ultron again, and I enter into a mostly Marvel mode.

You know, I like that movie and own it on dvd. It's just every time I reach for it somehow The Thing or the Halloweens get in the way.

I love Carpenter and I'd put it low on the list. It feels like an upgraded Uwe Boll movie.
