  • I really liked it. Jordan as Killmonger is by far one of Marvel's strongest villains (he has an actual reasonable motivation, and arc), and the movie has a lot to say in terms of themes and politics, but it never feels overwhelming. Plus the action sequences were great. Possibly in my top five of the MCU (still thinking it over though), the only downside is that for a change the hero is less interesting than the actual villains, still that's minor in the grand scheme of themes. Definitely one of the more impressive Marvel films anyway. - 8 / 10

Wasn't angry at it so much as deeply disappointed. The main characters kept going from badly cliche to mildly enjoyable (I actually really liked McKinnon's Holtzmann), the plot was awful, the original's cameos have me convinced they privately agreed to cost the film money by starring in it (a "mercy kill" move, I feel), etc, etc, etc.

A waste of time, and a mark of shame for the studio.

The irony about these 2 movies is that I figured I would love the former and hate the latter (due to my disgust of Cumberbatch) and the end result was exactly the opposite...i was very disappointed with Black Panther and surprisingly extremely pleased by Doctor Strange.

And in my never-ending hope for a REAL appearance of Doom, I wished he might have at least been hinted at as a nod to Doom fans that they hadn't been forgotten about. Alas, we keep the torch lit, but not know where the tunnel is.

This^. Thoroughly enjoyed the film all throughout.

If I had any complaint, it would be that Killmonger beat T'Challa far too easily during the challenge, but then, someone who reads the books informed me that this is the case in the comic, and in fact, Killmonger beats down BP every time they face off.
