    • Goonies (1985)

      "I'm setting booty traps."

      Point Break (2015)

      "Ugly is what we do."

      Pointless.

Funny, I was just thinking of that movie the other day and lamenting that I don't have a copy to watch.

I got to see that cast at a horror con reunion. I really like that movie, particularly that it doesn't center around middle-class-suburban teens, but working-class adults.

          "Teeth...we need more teeth."

Just the array of different dino species alone makes this worth the watch, but the most poignant scene for me was when the 2 love birds find the entire herd of Brontosaurs slaughtered..and Claire finally understands they are living, breathing creatures that deserve compassion.

          • MST3K: Zombie Nightmare (1987/1994)

            "Synthesizers signal suspense!"

            Less than Zero (1987)

"Trust was the first thing you ruined."

Depressing. I think the message is that if you want to live, you have to get out of LA.

            Son of Dracula (1943)

"The chances of convincing a hardheaded sheriff that we were dealing with a vampire seemed slim."

            • Well it wasn't exactly boring, but this is a franchise that's clearly tired, even Depp is basically going through the motions. How many times are we going to get the same Sparrow revenge plot, and the inclusion of wannabe "Elizabeth", and wannabe "Will", was whatever. Just a mediocre film all-around.

              • The Chase (1966)

"The taxes in this town pay your salary to protect the place.
-Well, if anything happens to you, Lem, we'll give you a refund."

Arthur Penn is remembered for the wrong movie. In my opinion, this is far superior to Bonnie and Clyde (and I know the movie does have some fame).

                Narcopolis (2015)

"I'm sorry I never wanted it to be like this."

The Panic in Needle Park (1971)

"You know what the best high of all is?
                -What is it?
                Death."

Talk about depressing. For some strange reason 3 of the 6 movies expiring from my Netflix list this month are about drug addiction.

                • Deadpool (2016)

Worth every second. The fights were brutal (that highway scene, man!) the costume was good, the cameos were amusing. This was exactly the redemption both Reynolds and the character Deadpool needed.

"Every frame of this movie looks like someone's last known photograph."

The Slums of Beverly Hills (1998)

"You dropped out of high school?
-It was an option. I wanted to join the workforce.
                    What do you do?
                    -I sell pot."

George Harrison: Living in the Material World (2011)

"He wanted to be a spiritual being more than anything, but he couldn't because he had to deal with this life.

George would've been 75 today had he made it. R.I.P. to arguably the most talented pound-for-pound Beatle.

                    • Preposterous and overblown, everyone involved in the film is giving it their all, and in many ways it's a bit of a train-wreck, but damn I enjoyed the hell out of it. The songs are super catchy, and the energy from Jackman and the rest of the cast is undeniable

                      • Meltdown [aka High Risk] (1995)

"His films were insipid and lacked cinematic merit."

Last of about 10 titles that were expiring the first couple days of March on Netflix.
I hadn't known going in, but realized right away that a large part of this movie is a spoof of Jackie Chan (here called Frankie). Turns out the director had some problems with him.

                        The Mummy (2017)

"Welcome to a new world of gods and monsters."

                        Barefoot in the Park (1967)

"I had to park the car three blocks away. Then it started to rain so I ran the last two blocks. Then my heel got caught in a subway grating. When I pulled my foot out, I stepped in a puddle. Then a cab went by and splashed my stockings. If the hardware store downstairs was open, I was going to buy a knife and kill myself."

Revenge of the Green Dragons (2014)

"The hate---it's what this country's built on."

                          • Ah, here we go again. Nobody else is posting movies and now it looks like I've watched ten movies in a row, when it wasn't quite that bad. I'll have to spread these out.

                            Ghost of Frankenstein (1942)

"Your father was Frankenstein, but your mother was the lightning!"

                            Life (2017)

                            "Goodnight, nobody."

Gremlins 2: The New Batch (1990)

"It's just like I always say; if you want to find something weird you have to go downtown."

                            MST3K: [Arizona] Werewolf (1996/1998)

"So far, the star power consists of Charlie Sheen's uncle."

                            For the full moon selection.

                              • The Finest Hours (2016)

                                "We're with you, skipper!"

Close Encounters of the Third Kind (1977)

                                "It's better than goofy golf."

                                Retreat (2011)

"Repeat after me. We aren't going anywhere."

                                Pretty good small-scale British thriller.
