    • Rifftrax: Magic Christmas Tree (1964/2011)

"Mark was tragically born with the body of a shop teacher and the wardrobe of a substitute shop teacher."

Rifftrax: Santa and the Ice Cream Bunny (1972/2010)

"Santa, we found someone even creepier than you!"

        • The Wackness (2008)

"Never, ever, ever trust anyone who says they don't like dogs!"

Pretty good despite the mostly hip hop soundtrack.

A Lonely Place to Die (2011)

"Where has your compassion gotten you today?"

Scottish amateur climbers stumble across a young foreign girl buried in a little room and interrupt a high-price kidnap scheme. Pretty tense and good.

            • Marie Antoinette (2006)

"How can we be expected to live in a place if are not certain about our position?"

By no means great, but I found it better than I expected given its rep. The anachronistic style is less jarring than in Baz Luhrmann.

              October Sky (1999)

"Let them have outer space. We got rock 'n' roll."

              Legend (2015)

"The center of the world could be anywhere you like."

Tom Hardy does a good turn as two very different real-life 60s London gangsters who happened to be identical twins.

                • We Own the Night (2007)

"If you piss in your pants, you only stay warm for so long."

Pretty good police drama set in 1988 Brooklyn, where one brother (Phoenix) has to choose between his family of cops (Wahlberg, Duvall) he distances himself from or the Russian mobsters that support his night club.

                  Batman: Bad Blood (2016)

                  "Nuns with M60s and katanas?
                  -That would make them nunjas."

                  Arsenic and Old Lace (1944)

"But Mortimer, you're going to love me for my mind, too.
                  -One thing at a time!"

I know this is really famous, but it was my first viewing of the black comedy and I dug it.

                  • Black Panther (2018)

"He was the truth I chose to omit."

                    Very, very good.

I felt helluva sorry for some of these guys over and over as I watched the film, as they were weighed down between responsibilities to their own groups and to their fellow man.

One particular scene, where Nakia the spy and (Okoya, I think) the general are arguing about dethroning Killmonger, and the general says she's loyal to the throne. I had an immediate flashback to watching the old X-Men cartoon show, the one that used to be on FOX Kids, specifically during the Shi'ar storyline where Lilandra is being given to Gladiator, and she demands to know how he can serve a madman like her brother D'ken. Gladiator tells her he serves the throne, and D'ken sits on the throne.

Overall absolutely worth seeing, great visuals and acting (Chadwick Boseman got good character development, but I think a lot of it was indirect because of how well other characters were developed so that it felt like it was less than it actually was). Gonna need to pick this up for my collection.

                        • Friday the 13th Part VII: The New Blood (1988)

"Why don't you fix the fire?
                          -There's no wood.
                          We're in a forest!"

Wanted to re-watch this partly because several aspects from it make it in the game I'm now a bit addicted to. Also, one of the victims is also the girlfriend from Silent Night, Deadly Night 2, which BD features I finished last night.

Silent Night, Deadly Night III: Better Watch Out! (1989)

"She'll be back. And then she'll let me go as a deep as I want. She likes it; loves it."

I spend all this time watching movies and then somehow miss that Scorcese had a movie two years ago I've never seen. Well, on the list.

                          • Bird Box

Way better than expected. The little "trailer" they show on Netflix for it if you rest on the title long enough is what sold me. It was just a tiny clip of a scene that laid out the entire movie. Great hook. Was probably an excellent book.
