Indiana jones and the dial of destiny. I Didn't hate it but has some cgi issues. I need time to really think what rating to give it. I can say the crystal skull haters may think its a better film. It can be a bit dragging since the film is like 2hr 30 minutes. Id say see it if you want to just see a popcorn flick . Also to ease everyones minds the leaked ending was pure bs so you can rest easy. No indy dosent get replaced by his god daughter.

“My parochial apologies, sir.” —75th anniversary of David Lean’s classic adaptation of Dickens’ classic novel. Alec Guinness plays much older than his real 34 as Fagin.
I just finished this up & must say it was really good. I went in knowing literally nothing, just a suggestion from someone with impeccable taste. 1200x675mf.jpg1200x675mf.jpg

The Driver (1978) images-w1400.jpg?1326466380.jpg “I’m gonna catch me the cowboy that's never been caught.” —Was hanging with my dad (who is recovering from a health problem) while my Mom was out, so I picked a car movie from my collection for us to watch.

This was much better than I was expecting. They took a reimaging approach that I suprisingly enjoyed. Best one in a long, long time. F0pF50WXwAI219K.jpg

Pretty good; much better than Crystal Skull, not nearly as good as Last Crusade, probably on par with Raiders making it a bit better than Temple of Doom --but that's all just my opinion, of course. I really liked the prologue sequence, in particular, as it was basically a lost sequel from the 80's, with a digitally youthful Harrison Ford fighting Nazis at the end of WWII. It seems like they were trying to set up his new sidekick goddaughter for future adventures, but the film's surprising failure at the box office has probably put that idea to bed. I found it amusing that if you look at the franchise as a fantasy series (like I do) this fits right in with Temple being about the magic of Hinduism (kinda sorta), Raiders the magic of Judaism, Crusade the magic of Christianity, Kingdom the magic of Ancient Aliens, and Dial the magic of Mathematics. But yeah, anyway, it's a good movie worthy of the franchise, and it even makes reference to each movie before it. I was only disappointed that Short Round never showed up despite the verbal and visual references to Temple of Doom.
13 Fanboy (2021) 13+Fanboy+CU+POSTER+WITH+KNIFE+8x12+for+cNFT.png “You used to take my breath away, now I’m going to take yours.” —A stalker/serial killer targets the ladies of the Friday the 13th series. Fan-made itself, but not too bad. Includes a lot of the real actors and some not directly connected like Dee Wallace. On Paramount+.
I missed out on this movie when it came out & came across it yesterday. I really disliked everything about it & almost turned it off multiple times. I don't ever dislike a movie as much as I did this one. This is the SyFy remake btw. Children.of.the.Corn.2009.jpg

IMHO, the whole series is fun, but none of the sequels quite had #1’s perfect balance of action and comedy. I remember this is the movie that led me to track down Jet Li’s movies and become a lifelong fan.
