–Polish film I watched because I saw a video that it’s one of Coppola’s favorites. Follows the story of two Polish soldiers/assassins on the last night of WWII tasked with killing a Communist leader in town. The main star is called the James Dean of Poland and, like him, died young in an auto accident.

—25th anniversary. Finally read the book before watching it again and found this was a pretty faithful adaptation. The ending is different and Marla finds out the truth much earlier, but it’s like 90%+.

—30th anniversary. Although I own a copy, I had to check out the DVD from my library because I only had it on VHS and the family wanted to see it.

—30th anniversary. I almost waited until the anniversary of the general release (next month) because I was pressed for time, but once Dale's "Bustin Surfboards" hits I'm always hooked.
