It was actually a pretty good episode. The reason it was a big thing this time was because the last time he was there it was blown up, so it being green like nothing happened was odd, and was due to a fluctuation of energy that had also brought certain people back to life. Yao Fei, Eddie Fyers, and Billy Wintergreen, specifically. But the real purpose of the episode seemed to be setting Roy up for his pre-New 52 status quo, which every adaptation since Cry For Justice has done in different ways for the same effect... he lost his arm.

Couldn't even make it through the latest episode. How many times now has Oliver returned to Lian Yu and it's treated like this big thing? Like, cue the powerful music and establishing shots of the island. He's been back like 10 times already, it's been done.

It's like a go to for these hack writers. "Let's bring Oliver back to the island! That'll shake things up!"

The lady who played Oliver's future daughter is promoted to series regular for the final season.

There were some things they could have done to boost the comic's sales, but they didn't do them.

I guess people got tired of paying $4 a pop to read about a loudmouthed limousine liberal who shoots trick arrows in bad stories.

Kind of sounds like what I suspected.

First episode of the new season wasn't terrible. Kind of an Earth-2 room with the real Oliver "returning" there like in season 1.

The flash-forwards are lame, as expected.

Now, can someone explain to me how there is even flashforwards to the 2040s when in-story there is supposed to be the Crisis in like a week, that wipes out all universes? Like, how would there even be that future, or any future? Plus, seems like kind of a spoiler, no?

That was intense and I thought for sure he'd get killed off, but the suit just not working the same way now still gives him the chance to come back. Maybe next time around he can have a cape... LOL

It's pretty obvious it's Black Siren. Laurel ain't coming back unless White Canary takes down Damian in the past and causes a Canarypoint similar to Flashpoint.
