thats how i feel. Raiders will forever be #1 when it comes to Indy, but this was a likeable movie. The only thing that I really didnt like was the ending. Cate's fate was anti-climatic and definitely could have been pulled off alot better. I think i'd rather have her lose her mind then for to go out the way she did.

    7/10 rating

I don't know I left feeling kind of blah after. I was hoping for more meat in this Da Vinci Code era.

      Indy vs. the nuclear explosion?

Indy can't use his gun because Spielberg is directing (I'm waiting for him to digital remove the guns from Saving Private Ryan, like he did ET)

The ants, seen it in the Mummy with beetles.

I loved the bike chase at the college

the quicksand and the snake (grrr!)

I'm going with the others too on the end of it, where's Mulder when ya need him.

How sad is it while your watching it knowing that Iron Man is going to kick it's ass, and I can't stand Marvel.

Not according to the box office results:

        Ironman (opening weekend): $98,618,668

        Indiana Jones (opening weekend): $126,040,000

Ironman was a badass movie that I loved but a completely different type of movie than Indiana Jones. So you cant realyu compare the two. I got to see it a second time this weekend and it was even better than the first time I saw it. It was still a fun adventure flick and I enjoyed it more the second time because I was already over the shock of the time that had passed since the last one. I dont mind that they replaced the ususal religous mumbo jumbo theme with a more science fiction theme. They are both fictional and paranormal. It only make sense that in his carreer he would run across both. And it makes even more sense because of the timeframe it was set in. People were crazy about the unknown aspect of little green men. Indy movies have always been meant to be fun adventures with our hero escaping things that realy wouldnt happen and that is what makes it fun. This movie isnt supposed to be a documentery on realy life. It is supposed to be an escape from reality for a couple of hours.

Indy used his gun, after he blew back the blow dart he turned around and shot the one sneaking up on Mutt, which prompted the "You're a school teacher!?" "Part time." line.

Yeah, ONE time, I went to it again on Memorial Day with my brother.

One kill with his gun we where keeping track. Now compare that with Raiders and theirs a huge difference.

And, let me clarify on the Ironman comment. Can you honestly tell me that the effects in Ironman didn't pull you out of the movie like this did?

I don't know... those CGI gophers were pretty distracting right from the beginning. I thought I was still watching previews for a minute.

Actually, Indy pulled his gun on the cemetary warrior, the warrior saw it, and ran back into the tunnel. Indy never fired a shot!

The rest of the time he was either captured and had it taken from him or didn't have it with him (in his school teacher duds)

He's used enemy guns all the time, though. Like in Last Crusade, when he and his dad are arguing, then he grabs the machine gun--BUDDABUDDA--"Don't call me Junior."

Or when he's on the tank and he fires the Luger through about four Nazis.

Did Indy fire off some shots when he stole the machine guns for he and Mac right away in Area 51?
