Tuesday the 25th they are releasing an updated version of Riven, both for PC and VR. I am probably unreasonably excited for the ability to revisit one of my all time favorite adventure games in VR. I was practically giddy when I was able to play Myst in VR, and Riven is such a step up from Myst. I adored the game when it was simply a pre-rendered slideshow interface, so being able to explore that world, in full 3D, in VR, is probably the most I've looked forward to a game release in AGES.

Well, that was somewhat disappointing. Playing Riven in VR started about about as great as I had hoped, but the glitches started piling up, and really soured the experience by the end. Hopefully it will get patched at some point (they already fixed one of the most problematic glitches), but replaying it at that point won't feel quite as special as it would if it worked right the first time I played it.
