It's free, right? The game tells me to go to the in-game marketplace and download it there... I do, but it wants some kind of code. What's the code?

I think I figured it out. So far it's a little bit fun, but I'm already seeing why and how it's proof positive that being a Green Lantern just isn't possible in games like these.
You can run out of stamina and have to take a break between making constructs... really? I make like 3 small ones and I have to wait about 20 seconds to do anything else. Wow.

Response--- Wel---come? No We must Ex--ter---min---ate Sinestro

I need to revive this thread. I just installed DC Online, and I would rather not pay for the $9.99 "Fight for the Light".
I'm in Free mode, I only have 1 out of 2 characters. But when I go to the Marketplace, I have zero "Station Cash". I thought free mode was supposed to get 1,500 SC. That would be enough to buy Fight for the Light with 999. Calls for help within Metropolis' police station get ignored.
A Google search for Fight for the Light is not promising, saying you have to purchase the DLC separately. Any help from the GLCMB?

Google is right. In game cash can't be used to purchase the DLC add ons. If you don't want to spend $9.99 on it wait until they do a 50% off sale again like they do periodically and you'll get it for $4.99. Good news is if you spend at least $5 on the game you get bumped to premium status (instead of free play) and you can have $2,000 instead of $1500, your inventory space doubles and you can have 6 characters instead of 2.A teacher affects eternity; He can never tell where his influence stops.

Thanks, nevermore. I missed the 21 December "triple SC" event, so I'll have to wait a month or more.

No problem. Premium status is worth it. Like I said you can have more $, 4 more characters and twice the inventory! Not bad for $5.A teacher affects eternity; He can never tell where his influence stops.

Well, I finally bit the bullet and forked over $10 to Sony Online Entertainment to get a "light powers" character. Say hello to Turquoise2814, who is currently not power leveling but looking for all those little circles with exclamation points in them around Metropolis.
