Reminds me of when I tried to beat Shao Khan in II, got my ass beat (but I was a kid back then).

Also got hammered into the ground in 3, because I wasn't much older, but I could regularly reach Khan and pull off fatalities more often than not (but god, some of them were terribly made, the inputs so stupid).

Heh. I recall playing Killer Instinct on easy because the final boss was too hard to beat. On easy, that game removes the final boss and taunts you to up the difficulty to face your true final challenge.

If I got back in the groove, I should be able to play it through easy with any character and usually most of them through easy, maybe having to redo Kahn's match. But I wasn't in the groove. At least on MK 9 the fatalities are listed on the start menu (in single player).

^Ha. For my part, I acknowledge my suckiness. If you watched me play fighters, you'd say "why on earth does this loser want to do this to himself," but for some reason I got hooked on the MK universe years ago while popping quarters in the original arcade game at the local video store. To my credit, I could usually beat the CPU on 1 turn (I don't remember if it was 1 or 2 quarters).

Then it went to home console and in HS I met my best friend who could wipe the floor with me in 1, 2, or 3. He was like that kid in the Simpsons episode where people would line up at the arcade to challenge him and he'd be on his first quarter a couple hours later. He was impressive to watch. He'd challenge himself like fighting me with only low kick and block or playing in a mirror or something.

I started playing Watch Dogs a bit and there are 2 apparent problems:

1. Watch Dogs only works with XInput controllers.
Which means Xbox 360 controller for Windows. I only have a DirectInput controller (like most people probably have).
2. The car controls in Watch Dogs suck with WASD keyboard controls.
On the other hand, shooting works very well with WASD and keyboard.

So I just ordered a Xbox 360 controller for Windows bundle at amazon which I should get tomorrow (amazon has next day delivery in Germany).

I don't know why ubisoft would make such a dumb move and only support XInput controllers. All the Assassin's Creed work well with my PS3-Style DirectInput controllers.

I used to own Shao Khan in MKII on the arcade while in College. I used to have an audience gather around while I beat the snot out of that guy. Ah, those were the days... It was just as easy to be as cheap as he was with Raiden's fly-charge and Scorpion's spear when I used Shang Tsung, not to mention tagging him 3 consecutive times with ST's fireballs.
