Tried Rumble since I didn't want to ruin anybody else's gaming experiences, and I'm bewildered by the results.

Match 1 -- Third place finish

Match 2 -- Dead last, horrible performance

Match 3 -- First place, stunning performance

I should have put more attention on this quest forever ago, I keep telling myself. And I keep wondering if I should actually try to get other desirable weapons like Trust (I grabbed a screenshot of the Doubt ornament for it, looks great). I dunno.

And of course, the big news: Last of Us 2 is out June 19, Ghost of Tsushima out July 17. My dad will probably die of joy in late June.

One of my friends got tired of me saying that I don't have enough space on my PS4 for the games he wants to play, so he bought me an external HDD for extended storage. Now I'm downloading some fifteen games to it. I told him I would put two on it at any given time that he had control over (i.e. that I won't delete unless he wants to change one of them), and he chose Mortal Kombat 11 and The Division 2 for now. Everything else are games I've been meaning to play but keep putting off and then delete for space. Stuff like God of War, Horizon Zero Dawn, and The Witcher III, et alia. Should get to a few of them soon, as my summer off begins next week.

edit -- watched the Assassin's Creed: Valhalla trailer, it was well done. I know I won't be able to get it at launch but knowing me I might actually grab it sometime thereafter. (Of course, I still need to finish 3, Rogue, and Unity, and get Origins and Odyssey).

Good news, everyone!

Yesterday right before bed I was browsing r/ps4 and saw a thread about how it was the last day to download the Nathan Drake Collection (first three Uncharted game) and I thought about it then passed it over since I was never really into that franchise.

Just for fun I checked before dinner and the free download was still available, so I decided to do myself a big favor and grabbed it. I haven't had time to play tonight and it won't be a priority until at least the weekend (I'm really pushing for Destiny 2 Crucible Valor resets, almost ready for my second), but I'm looking forward to it.

Talos Principle Deluxe Edition is $5 on PSN. I took the plunge and bought it (going on the wait list for now).

I'm tempted to buy both Forsaken and Shadowkeep since the combined price is basically the same as Shadowkeep without the sale, and I checked my PSN payment method which has PayPal as my default. If I'm right, the few bucks left in my wallet will go first and then PSN will charge my bank account through PayPal (like I get through eBay) so I can afford both and save myself a few bucks, and finally get up to speed on the story missions.

I did manage to reset my valor again (working towards my third reset now) and saw that next week is a 2x Valor week, so I should be able to reach my fourth or even fifth reset fairly easily and with plenty of time before the season ends in 30 more days.

Well I did it. Cost me $40 but I now own both Forsaken and Shadowkeep, and have started the hunt for Uldren the Asshole (need to do 5 Spider bounties next but I don't feel like doing that right now, tomorrow will be the day).

Claimed a load of stuff from the bottom row of the season ranks page (deleted all the armor because it's ugly as hell), going to slowly work my way through all that stuff when I'm not grinding Crucible or playing Uncharted/something else. I really also want to get the remastered Ghostbusters game and The Messenger and even Bloodstained but I might be getting a little greedy and should wait on at least Bloodstained to be on sale again later. I might hold off on all three, actually. I'll think about it.

1) Probably going to bite the bullet and purchase $70-100 of PSN games on sale (the savings will be enormous, though, because these are premium editions). Namely -- AC Odyssey Gold Edition (seven bonus missions and AC3 Remastered + Liberation Remastered and all their content); LEGO DC Villains Deluxe Edition (all content); Mortal Kombat XL; LEGO Marvel's Avengers season pass (I already have the game); Shadow of Mordor (not sure about extra content, but the game is dirt cheap); Arkham Knight Season of Infamy. That puts me at ~$70 but I'm tempted to also get The Messenger, Jedi Outcast, and Mark of the Ninja because they're all half off (except Outcast, but that's cheap anyway). I gotta think it over a little more before I get everything at once, especially since the indie sale has been going on for the last couple months and will probably continue.

2) Almost to my fifth and final Valor reset in Destiny 2, and I cannot believe I'm saying this, but not only did I manage to finish that fucking stupid Cast in Iron quest, but I completed all the Iron Banner bounties on all three characters. I would stop playing IB but it gives a (pathetically small) boost to my Thorn quest's kill percentage (shit you not, I went from 9% to 16% in one match, with 22 kills, which means once the boost is gone the quest will drag out). I also picked up and progressed the Lumina quest a bit, but at this point I'm going to need to scrounge up some teammates to help me with various objectives on this quest.

3) I watched Mtashed's video on Rose being a phenomenal gun, and now I'm really looking forward to unlocking its abilities. Since I'm never going to get Luna's Howl or Not Forgotten (and probably never get Trust), I'd love to have a really solid hand cannon (other than my beloved Better Devils).

4) Seriously, to absolute Hell with the Cast in Iron quest. I have to complete it on all characters (which no way in Hell am I doing all those weapon kills two more times), so that's a hard pass for me. I don't really like the Iron Remembrance armor, so that makes it even easier to push aside.

5) The Point of the Stag bow isn't too shabby, but I'm not much of a bow player so I will stash it soon enough.

6) Still need to get Whisper of the Worm.

7) Progressed the Chaperone and Leviathan's Breath quests and unlocked one puzzle on the mysterious box Ada-1 gave me. I have plenty to keep me occupied once I'm done with Forsaken and Shadowkeep. Of course, I won't be making much progress in either expansion until I've completed the Broadsword quest (still have those 25 Survival matches and then 20 Crucible bounties, and then I can finally stop giving a shit and relax).

Got the final Valor reset last night, didn't bother with any further Crucible efforts. I'll steadily knock out the 25 Survival matches in the coming days/weeks because I need to pace myself and do some non-PvP work to both finish the story and get some other quests done. That'll keep my sanity intact.

Watched Mtashed's recent "I'm done with Trials" video and I feel sorry for him and others who run into so many goddamn cheaters (this is largely on PC). Bungie used to be good about banning miscreants but they have been horrendously lax in their efforts for a long while now. I really would like to get the Trials helmet for my Hunter like I have in D1, but I doubt that'll be done until god-knows-when.

Just purchased the Arkham Knight: Season of Infamy, LEGO Avengers Season Pass, and Shadow of Mordor for only about $13. Downloaded Infamy and all LEGO character packs and SOM is mostly done. I'll get the rest of the items by the weekend (unless the indie games don't get another round of sales, in which case I'll wait until later). I'm also now thinking of getting Injustice 2 (I think it's the Legendary Edition discounted to $18 and the review I watched from ACG was very good; still need to get the first game and maybe MK vs DC).

Crimson is my hand cannon of choice, I highly recommend it if you get lucky enough to pull one (or luck out with Xur carrying it). Trust is pretty decent if you can get a solid roll, but Better Devils may be better anyway. I've got the Rose with all the abilities (though I'm not quite done with the exotic quest, yet), and while its got good acquisition and some great snap, I don't think it's any better than the others listed. Ace of Spades is pretty good, too, by the by. It's kinda like a more impressive Better Devils, really, but as an exotic you may not want to run it as there are better exotic options.
