i would expect a server to have some issues. however ps3 was down for an entire month i find that unacceptable for something i am paying for regardless of them offering a free game as an apology. and the error i would come across on my ps3 was some random error occurred message which would keep me offline until i restarted the device so playing on line was pretty much impossible on the ps3 while i am yet to encounter not being able to play online with my 360

Never had that issue with either of my ps3s with paying online. And I think offering free games as well as ps+ for a year (which gives you more free games) is a great way to reward the customers for their inconvenience. Again you're acting like the 360 is perfect and doesn't have issues.
