Kent Rogers, young man of a million voices

One voiceover performer imitated the voices of 12 of the celebrities depicted in this cartoon-- James Cagney, Cary Grant, Edward G. Robinson, Clark Gable, Ned Sparks, Peter Lorre, Groucho Marx, Mickey Rooney, James Stewart, Kay Kyser, J. Edgar Hoover and Henry Fonda.

That was Kent Rogers-- and he was 17 years old at the time!

It's hard to imagine what Rogers might have accomplished if he hadn't died at 21. He enlisted in the Navy in WW2 and was killed in a plane crash at the base in Pensacola FL.

It was a terrible loss of an amazing talent.
