Presumably because of the Guardians' actions. I can imagine people, if the find out that the leaders of an organization were responsible for something as hideous as the Third Army, not necessarily taking the word of the membership of said organization when they tell them, "Yeah, those Guardians we used to report to were bad news, but we're under new management now, and we're all good."

To risk invoking Godwin's Law, it would be kind of like (I'm aware of the shortcomings of this analogy, trust me) a group of SS Stormtroopers, after the fall of Hitler's regime, trying to convince everybody that they were now a force for good and should be trusted. It would be a problem even if that particular group hadn't been involved in any of the evil nastiness.

What's this I feel? Actual excitement for Green Lantern? Wow...never thought I'd see the day.

Red Guy > Red John, glad they're going with the obvious choice here. I wonder if he'll keep the GL Ring too, or maybe end up giving it to Baz. Also, I don't remember clearly, but didn't Saint Walker or someone say that if Guy ever went Red again, he couldn't be brought back a second time?

It would a third, wouldn't it? Or does the time he wore red AND violet not count?

Now that it is well established that Reds can retain personality and speech, to some extent anyway, I'm not as annoyed by Guy being one as I WOULD have been. Though I'm still not thrilled, if the Reds and Greens are going to still have a totally adversarial relationship. I prefer Guy as part of the team...

I don't recall. Kyle WAS right there with a Blue ring, though, if he did need it...

I feel like if Saint Walker did say anything like that, it'll just be easily ignored. I somewhat recall something along those lines when I think back to Emerald Warriors, but I dont feel like anyone at DC really has any idea of anything that happened there adding to the GL mythos.

Oh and who else is THRILLED that Hal is not only center of attention on the cover but seemingly the focus of the solicitation?!

Templar Guardians?, did they just spoil everything that happens at the end of Wrath of the First Lantern with that solicit or i'm I missing something.

I dont view that as a spoiler. They're obviously Guardians and Templar is just possibly a title given to them to distinguish them between the Guardians we've known.

That may be the case but honestly I'm sure almost everybody was pretty much expecting that to happen ever since the Guardians went bad and then revealed these trapped Guardians.
I LOVE conspiracy theorists. They are like human versions of the cymbal clapping, dancing monkeys. No one takes them all that seriously and they get bored with them after about 10 minutes.

I for one am actually hoping we dont lose the Guardians we've known. I would enjoy seeing that Valthoomes manipulation in events now altered the past to the point that led them to becoming what they are now. I think it would be nice to have possibly these Templar Guardians build a possible temple for the White Light and be the "Guardians of Life" itself. Just my idea.

I haven't been this excited in a while. Finally we get Hal back as the star of GL and there's so much potential for character development.

It'll be interesting seeing him in a leadership role. It's been a while!
