Her hair a little bit too big, but great Jade!!

Lord Malvolio 10-04-2007 10:23 PM

I actually like that Jade fig, and I normally don't care for her.

raynersraider 10-05-2007 01:48 AM

That's not bad. I'm not big on Jade, either, but that's a fairly sharp-looking figure.

Shouldn't her hair be dark green, though? I'll allow it, however, due to the sheer boobitude ;) of the figure.

Well, in true DCAU style, the hair would be black... with just a little hint of green for highlights along the edges! So, that's what's missing. The green highlights along the edges of the sculpt! ;)

As for her "boobitude"... I'm guessing she's had...

...wait for it...

...plastic surgery! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...es/rimshot.gif :D

And now, HERE's a very unique little something for the Guy Gardner fans, and in particular, those that have fond memories of the days when Guy ran around in a black leather jacket, slinging a yellow ring!

I actually considered having a GLC ring made High School style to go with my character's jacket (I still might next year, the power Battery really bit a chunk out of my wallet this year! ('sides I actually lost my DHS ring a long time ago) plus I'm buying that damned jacket next) anyway, here's my contribution to this thread

It's a bit more than mine but at least it's still way cheaper than 3 Rotox!

Jack T. Chance 10-23-2007 07:53 PM

I already talked about that ring back on Page 1...

Alas, these people only ever make their rings out of sterling silver. If only they were smart enough to make this in 10K or 14K GOLD, I might actually have bought one... after one little change (I'd want it to say "Sinestro Corps" on the engraved ring surrounding the stone.) But since they made it out of silver, I won't be buying it. :sinestro:

'Nuff said. ;)

You don't have to have one custom-made! Do what I did: Buy it on eBay! ;)

I pre-ordered mine from my local comic shop, and thus got it for the issue price. Still, considering how many years ago that was, a BIN of $400 for one that's Mint In Box is actually very reasonable!

Anyway, here's my contribution to the thread for this week:

1996 DC Official Green Lantern Wristwatch (with Kyle Rayner's GL Logo)

I've had one of these for several years, it was actually the first Green Lantern watch I ever found on eBay and Yahoo! Auctions (how I miss that alternative to eBay. Back in the day, it was so much nicer than eBay! :() It's a really nice watch, and as far as I know, it was the first officially licensed GL watch ever made. I actually bought 2 originally, but then later sold one of them off on eBay, managing to get $200 for the thing due to its scarcity. I only see them show up on eBay about once a year or so, if I'm LUCKY, so anyone that wants it, grab it NOW. If you don't, you might be waiting awhile to see one offered again. :hal:

GLJIMT 10-26-2007 10:31 PM

Jack T. Chance 11-06-2007 04:00 PM

This week's cool item...

Another cool Green Lantern sticker!

Jack T. Chance 11-07-2007 09:31 PM

On second thought...

While the sticker is cool, I just found something even COOLER! Don't know HOW I missed this before today:

Mike Mayhew's Original Artwork - Wizard Issue 160 Green Lantern Cover! :hal:

Now THAT is just SWEET!

Jiminy Christmas! Starting bid of $9,450 for a copy that's been RESTORED?!?

I'm no expert, but I've ALWAYS heard that when it comes to antiques, restoration work significantly lowers the value! Hell, you hear that all the time on Antiques Roadshow! I understand it's CGC graded as a 9.0 and all, but still! This guy's off his rocker, starting the bidding that high for a comic that's been RESTORED! :wallbang:

Don't get me wrong, if the final winning bid is that high, or higher, so be it. But to START the bidding at that price just seems wrong to me!

P.S. Here's a cool fixer-upper for the Alan Scott fans!

Dietz Military WWI Olive Drab Green Lantern

Basically, with a little work (add a base and a handle, replace the lens with a green one) this could make an AWESOME Alan Scott Power Battery prop for a talented do-it-yourselfer!

MOOSE!!! 12-29-2007 08:00 PM

Hey guys,

Been thinking of posting some of my ill-gotten gains to Ebay. Do you think anyone would be interested in this:

This was given to me by Editor Bob Schreck when I got the regular coloring gig almost eight years ago. It's a bit dusty, but in perfect condition. Not sure how many are in existence, but I've never seen another one out there.

Thoughts?

I'd buy that for a dollar! :D

Translation: PM me an offer! It would easily be the most unique item in my GL collection, and I'll actually USE IT! On cold winter nights, I occasionally enjoy a big mug of hot cocoa! :)
