There is an episode of Mad Men that went back in the past and if I'm correct they portrayed him even younger than 27. With modern day makeup effects I think it could work.

Not sure how many of you have watched the AMC show MadMen. I've watched a couple of episodes, and I think Jon Hamm would make a perfect Hal Jordan. He's got the look, and some enlarging of the hair...
