Note that HJ&TGLC was not canceled because of low sales, and that Kyle didn't replace Hal because of low sales either. In both cases, DC acted because they thought the comic should be selling better.

Hal can sell ONE comic, if it's based on Earth, and if he's not the annoying self-doubter who Denny O'Neil turned him into. He also can't be the spark plug of a franchise, especially while he's based in space, which is what Geoff Johns tried to do with him. He's not that popular and never will be.

Selling one comic is not an insignificant thing to do. DC should be glad Hal can do that when he's based on Earth, and should act accordingly.
