At $7.99 no. That's alot for a character that nobody's ever heard of. If it was at $2.99 or whatever the average price is now then people would have given it a chance.

I would have given it a chance if it was reasonably priced and the existing GLs were all placed somewhere. Guy, Kyle and Baz are still unaccounted for. The last time we saw Guy was in Doomsday Clock when Dr. Manhattan destroyed his ring. I guess we're supposed to believe he's been left powerless.

This all seems like it's in flux now. With Didio gone, will DC still go through with 5G, and will it be the same if they do? Are they going to make it mesh with Doomsday Clock eventually? Who knows.

Yep. At the least, I think we’re going to see a wave of comic stores folding. They don’t pull in enough to operate indefinitely on old stock (if they’re even open).

I went in today to my local comic shop for what could very well be the last weekly stack ever. It was a very strange experience. Not only did I get the slap in the face of the final issue probably ever of Doom Patrol NOT shipping, thus ending the 7th volume incomplete...but the only 2 comics I had were Far Sector #5 and the From Beyond The Unknown 100 page giant for a new Hal Jordan story.

The Hal story was surprisingly decent, as far as 100 page giant filler stories go. Not bad at all with solid art.

I recently did my best to read Far Sector 1-4 and just read #5 a few minutes ago. Holy SH#T is that book woke trash. I could barely finish the issue it was so cringy.

Just a depressing way to finish 35 years of patronizing the comic industry. If and when DC gets its printer up and running again...if and when Diamond Dist reopens its doors...there is still the question of whether or not enough of the 1900-2000 comic shops currently open will still be around to prop up this dead industry. I'm fairly certain I already know the answer, though I could be wrong. And if I'm wrong, it's just delaying the inevitable.

It would have been nice to go out on a high note. Instead my weekly stack reading went out with a pathetic whimper.
