I don't see why it should be. We'd just rob ourselves of possibilities.

It mocks the concept of the draft a bit, especially if we'll soon have one specifically for actual band members.

Yeah, but some people really blur the lines between reality and fiction. To use and example from outside of music: Neil Patrick Harris didn't actually play himself in Harold and Kumar. The NPH in the Harold and Kumar movies was a fictional character.

But how about this rule: If you pick the fictional version of a musician in the fictional draft, you can't pick him in the other two drafts.

That just seems a bit too restrictive. I guess it should just be left to the voters. If they think a band with real people in a fictional draft is good, then that's on them.

I like this idea. It would give people more freedom to pick everybody they wanted. And on the topic of that band manager thing, I think this is a great idea. Would we be able to draft someone as a Songwriter as well??
