I think Alan's new design isn't bad, but I find the huge armored shoulders problematic. How's he going to raise his arms above his head?
I also miss his original color scheme. I sketched out a couple of notions of how his colors might be updated...

I appreciate the subtle ties to his original costume (the boot lines mimicking his laces and the collar mimicking his Dracula cape).
I also have to admit I don't like the use of the Ion symbol. Alan should have his own unique symbol, not Kyle's sloppy seconds. Although I didn't like the symbol showed on the cover prior to the change.Comment
