I would say yes.

Someone was asking elsewhere if the new one is translucent. Looks like it to me.
And a new head sculpt

Complete new sculpt. Looks fantastic!!!

Since I haven´t got any of them (I´m still kicking myself for not getting the Saphire that was in my LCS), this is good news to me. And Black Hand would help me complete the "Generals" of each Corps.

Unless I get a really good deal on the figure, I'll stick with the original Black Hand. With the new Sapphire, I can customize that and make a Fatality figure. Thing is, I don't know how long she's going to be in the SS's.

For me, Im not fussed as if there making new sculpts of old figures as like Orion I am missing some of the older figs like Black Hand so I am glad he is there as gives me a chance to get him.

But saying that I bought the original off ebay yesterday so Im still glad as both versions are different of black hand showing him how he was and how he is now.

but will admit that it is weird that we got Carol in wave three of Green Lantern and again in BN wave 3 or 4 but could it be that this version of carol is the version of her containing the entity for the star sapphires as its pretty easy to tell she is going to be the one to be the embodiment of the star sapphires entity.

I can't wait for that BlackHand figure! Love that he is holding onto a skull! I hope they have more figures as times goes on. Anyone going to pick up those Hal figures from Comic Con?

I’ve been in contact with a guy who said he would try to get me a set.
But there is a strict “No Guarantees” Clause. I have sent him money just in case.
But I’ll be excited to see what he is able to get me.
Anything he picks up will be that much less that I have to buy off e-bay. Because these will be mine!!!

I don't think I'll bother getting the new Star Sapphire. I'd have maybe picked it up if it was Fatality, but another Carol Ferris so soon is kinda redundant.

However, I'll probably pick up the new Black Hand. I have the original Black Hand, but it's several years old now, and while it looks okay, DC Direct's sculpting has come on leaps and bounds since its release. Not to mention the scale of the GL figures has gotten bigger, leaving Black Hand looking like a shorty. I think an update wouldn't hurt in that case.

quick question as I just got the original Black Hand. is the base supposed to be black instead of green like all the other bases in the collection or is it supposed to be green??

I thought it was the same base as the rest of the figures from that set. I bought the figure several months ago and haven't yet opened it so I'm not really sure. It appears it comes with the standard GL base.
