I'd be fine with the world changing as it had continued on into the 21st century, as long as they tried to at least pretend it was the same continuity. Most of the golden age members should be dead by now anyway, and the team would continue on with Infinitors as they got older and "graduated" to become JSAers much like some Titans became Leaguers. They really only need Hawkman, GL, and Flash to continue the name; they are to the JSA what Supes, Bats, and WW are to the JLA and Cap, Iron Man, and Thor are to the Avengers.

Costumes could change as well and I wouldn't shit a brick. I just want the history to go on. Fuck retcons though, and keep Geoff Johns the hell away from it. The third time would NOT be a charm.

Because writers have egos that they like to stroke by putting their mark on things. It used to be you made your mark by adding a shitty member to a team. Now it's retconning something to fit your "vision".

According to a review of the FCBD issue posted on Ain't It Cool News Batman is confirmed to be Bruce Wayne and all that "which Wayne?" bullshit was just smoke and mirrors. Stupid DC.

Contrary to my initial impression and Daves' rants, I'm actually looking forward to this book now. It's not the JSA of old, it's JLA V 2.0, but you know what? I don't care. I love alternate worlds/characters and won't let some desire for nostalgia ruin this for me. I'm onboard.

Now all we need is an Earth 3 with the Crime Syndicate of America and the Trinity of the Alternate Worlds will be complete.

Oh, and maybe an Earth-8 comic with Lord Havok and the Extremists, just because
