Just bought the last (18th) volume of Monster and cannot wait to read it.

i also read MPD-Psycho, Satsuma Gishiden, Path of the Assasin, Pluto and Shaman Warrior.

definite reads that i would recommend are: Lone Wolf and Cub, Samurai Executioner, Old Boy, Akira (of course), Ode to Kirihito and Lady Snowblood.

I never said it wasn't. I had low expectations of the anime but when I tried it I was pleasently surprised

First bit of news, Dragon Ball Kai aired in Japan! And here's the opening:

+ YouTube Video
ERROR: If you can see this, then YouTube is down or you don't have Flash installed.

Secondly, Funimation is adding seven full series subbed a week, starting this week with the duo Hokuto no Ken and Hokuto no Ken 2, known in English as Fist of the North Star. Among the releases will be Slam Dunk and Digimon Adventure 02.

Ouch, the one time I have a lot of exclusive anime stuff no one cares. Heck, a legal, free, high quality stream of all of Hokuto no Ken, and no eye bats. Figured at least the HD opening of Dragon Ball Kai'd grab some attention.

Ever notice how the quality of animation waxes and wanes in that movie? Sometimes the characters look perfectly human, other times they look like Pixar characters.....

FirstShowing report that Mandalay have picked up the rights to develop a big-screen live action adaptation of the version of the Japanese manga/anime series Full Metal Panic.

it tells the story of a member of the covert anti-terrorist mercenary group who is tasked with protecting a Japanese high school girl with mystical powers. If the one-sentence log-line doesn’t immediately grab you, chances are you’ll be completely turned off by the fact that High School Musical Zac Efron is interested in starring in the project.

Hey Geekeh. Go check out Fate//Stay Night, if you haven't already seen any of it.
I have almost the whole series.
Its got an awesome storyline with neat parallels to Greek/Irish/British/Japanese heroes/gods/goddesses. Some awesome stuff. Rather historical in a fantastical setting.
Kreon and I will be cosplaying characters from it for Animazement (anime convention in NC in May).

Also check out Desert Punk! Its hilarious. :]

I've read a few. My favorite is the MPD Psyco series. When I heard that the movie Oldboy was based on a manga, I went and got them too. Oldboy is so awesome....

Pokemon's very overhyped in my opinion, after Gold and Silver the franchise just got ridiculous

One of my new favs is Nana, it's a very laid back manga and the simple story really draws you in

I've only watched one Pokemon movie ALL THE WAY THROUGH (to my recollection) and that was "Pokemon Ranger and the Temple of the Sea" with one of the newer pokemon breeds "Manaphy".

Apparently Manaphy is the PRINCE of the sea, but I dont believe that. Manaphy is totally a female.. LOOK AT HER!
!!

But anyways. I like Wailord and Seaking over Manaphy. Even if Manaphy did make me cry in the movie. Geh >_>;
