Default "Robocop Returns"

Blomkamp tweeted that he is off this, said MGM needs or wants to shoot it now and he currently shooting a horror/thriller.

Aside from getting Paul Verhoeven back, maybe they should hire Chad Stahelski.

He's a pretty busy guy, prepping both the Highlander remake and John Wick Chapter 4.

But really, why does no one hire Paul Verhoeven anymore?

Is he even interested anymore? He might consider that his time with it is done and other people need to knuckle up.

Wait, so is this a sequel to the remake or an eighth film in the original timeline?

A sequel to the first movie with Weller reprising the part. With 2 and 3 and everything else either not counting or just not being mentioned.

Interesting... I'd probably scoff at the idea if Halloween hadn't been so good.

^It's been a while since I've seen #3, but I don't recalll anything in #2 or #3 that had much of an effect on his continuity.

Only two big things:

1. Delta City getting built (it does, in RC3).

2. Lewis being killed (if they want to bring the actress/character back, then they have to ignore RC3).

RC2 is probably safe.

I'd love to see a RoboCop meets Judge Dredd film.

I'd settle for a comic.

I wonder when they're going to stop beating around the bush and announce Peter Weller is back. We know he is.

Remember the Frank Miller/Walt Simonson Robocop vs Terminator series? At the rate things are going, that could be a way to save both franchises - even if it rewrote Terminator time travel rules harder than Genisys.

I've lost interest in a reboot with Blomkamp leaving.
