The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #286: Excelsior Forevermore

Face front, True Believers – today, we gather together to mourn the passing of an icon, and the godfather of Marvel Comics: Stanley Martin Lieber, a.k.a. Stan Lee. Our glorious leader, the Marvelous Iggy a.k.a. Ben, rejoins Bry-Bry, Tazer, and (temporarily) Ol’ Man Whirlyburger himself, Jon-Jon, to pay tribute to The Man himself. We get together, ramble off some of his career highlights (which is just about the entirety of Stan Lee’s career), and reminisce – specifically, we all share our favorite Stan Lee character, our favorite Stan Lee story, and our favorite Stan Lee cameo in a Marvel movie. Meanwhile, keeping in the spirit of Stan’s legacy, we dig in and review some comic books! Together, we review Avengers #700, our Book of the Week and a fitting legacy milestone issue! Then, individual reviews, Ben reviews Uncanny X-Men #1, Tazer reviews Death of the Inhumans #5, the final issue in the event, and Bry-Bry reviews X-Men Black: Emma Frost, the last of the 5-issue limited run. That’s our show for this week. Remember to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. Join us again next time, and excelsior!

…It wasn’t pr0n, was it, Tazer?

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #287: Sympathy for a Devil

We gather together today to mourn the passing of another icon: Netflix’s Daredevil. The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast welcomes you to Hell’s Kitchen, dear listeners, and if you can’t stand the heat… Anyhow, this week it’s only Bry-Bry and Tazer to fight off the darkness, which is proven more difficult as we discuss the unexpected cancellation of Daredevil after a critically renowned season 3. We further address the state of Marvel & Netflix with updates on both The Punisher and Jessica Jones, then dig deep for hope in discuss something new coming into the world: Shang-Chi being developed into a Marvel Studios feature film! We also talk about Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse already being greenlit for both a sequel and an all-female spin-off, and Venom breaking box office records and what that means for Sony’s “Spider-Verse” of films moving forward. In reviews, Tazer tackles something different: an animated film, Hulk: Where Monsters Dwell – and, shock of all shocks, he kinda likes it! Then Bry-Bry caps-off Cosmic Ghost Rider with his review of issue #5! Finally, through the magic of live recording, Bry-Bry snap-reviews the debuting-as-we-record new Captain Marvel trailer! What an episode – looks like we kinda turned things around before our last show of the year! Before we go, though, remember to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Join us next time for our final episode before we viking funeral this hellspawn of a year that is 2018!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #288: Pass the Manischewitz!

Ho, ho, ho, loyal listeners of Asgard! If you’re reading this, then you’re listening to the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast – the last episode of the year 2018! That’s right, interim host Bry-Bry, Tazer, and even Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon show up to give 2018 the viking funeral that it deserves before entering the Odinsleep! We say good-bye to this year and, oi vey, what a year it has been – do you guys remember that Black Panther came out THIS year? It feels like it came out AT LEAST 2 or 3 years ago! But I digress… in this episode, we look forward to the year of 2019 with hope and glee, and discuss all the things to come that we’re excited for in the new year! We review the trailers for Avengers: Endgame and Marvel Ultimate Alliance 3: The Black Order! We talk comics – the announcements of Spider-Man: Life Story, Cosmic Ghost Rider Destroys Marvel History, Spider-Man: City at War (a new story adapting the universe of the PlayStation4 game’s version of Spider-Man), and the forthcoming story arc in Amazing Spider-Man #16: “Hunted”, featuring the return of Kraven the Hunter! We briefly discuss the announcement that The Punisher season 2 is to air on Netflix in January 2019, and cap off our news segment with a round-up of Marvel’s presence on the awards circuit this year and in the year to come! In reviews, the boys get all-misty-eyed celebrating the forthcoming wedded bliss of Benjamin J. Grimm and Alicia Masters with Fantastic Four: Wedding Special #1! Then in individual reviews, Jon is won over through sheer force of violence in The Punisher #4, Tazer delves into the depths of confusion with The Best Defense: Namor #1, and Bry-Bry gushes about the artwork (and prays for a Midnight Sons book) in review of The Best Defense: Doctor Strange #1! That’s our show, folks, and that’s our year – 2018 has come and gone like dust in the wind, and we look forward to a brighter, better year in 2019! In the meantime, though, dont forget to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review – that’s our Christmas wish! Until then, Feliz Navidad, Happy Holidays, and we’ll see you in 2019!

Welcome to 2019, pillagers and shieldmaidens, and welcome to the first all-new episode of the Mighty Warrior Three Marvel Podcast of 2019! Did Oklahoma survive the new years celebrations that took place? We don’t know, we haven’t heard from Jon-Jon since. Still, we persevere! We’re rejoined by founder and longtime host The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, who returns and hands the primary hosting reins (for now) to interim host Bry-Bry. Also, Tazer! We discuss the Spider-Man: Far From Home trailer, dissect the Disney-Fox deal and the implications for the established X-Men movie-verse, and also talk about the rumored Lady Sif show in development for the Disney+ app! Then, in reviews, the Warriors discuss the Book of the Week, Captain Marvel #1! In individual reviews, Ben reviews Uncanny X-Men #10 and catches us up on the state of the Marvel Universe (Spoiler: It all kind of went to hell…), Tazer tackles Infinity Wars: Infinity #1 as well as tries to tackle his general malaise, and Bry-Bry caps things off with Avengers #12! That’s our first new show of 2019! Remember to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #290: With Well Wishes to JohnnyV (And Not Tom Brady)

Our second episode of 2019 is in the books, and as the Mad Quarterback Tom Brady gains control of his sixth Infinity Super Bowl Ring and looks to annihilate half of the world’s football fans, we try to squeeze another episode around that. Bry-Bry is back leading the charge with the Marvelous Iggy, Tazer, and Ol’ Man Whirlyburger surfaces as well – Jon Jon is back! We discuss the Big Game Spots for both Captain Marvel and Avengers: Endgame (Well, some of us do…), the rumored start of production on Black Widow and the odds of it being rated-R, the new Guardians of the Galaxy line-up and their odds of mainstream success, as well as the forthcoming Marvel exhibit at the Franklin Institute in Philadelphia this April. Meanwhile, in reviews, Jon heralds the coming of Galactus in Fantastic Four #6, Iggy feels the unstoppable thrill of Unstoppable Wasp #4, Tazer makes us groan and roll our eyes when bad puns abound in Black Panther vs. Deadpool #4, and Bry-Bry ranks the adaptation of issue #1 of Wolverine: The Long Night! That’s our show for this week, folks! Remember to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. And, we cannot stress this enough, congratulations to our dear friend and collaborator JohnnyV on his nuptials! Good luck, Johnny, and make sure your wife isn’t a clone or a Skrull or something like that…

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review-

Captain Marvel

Higher, Further, Faster – these, and other adjectives describe our escalating conversation about Captain Marvel, the latest offering of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and the subject of this special review episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! After some technical difficulties the previous week, not unlike 90s-era internet, the whole crew is present and accounted for! O captain, our captain Bry-Bry leads grizzled veteran the Marvelous Iggy a.k.a. Ben, the Accuser so eager to bomb every problem away Jon-Jon, and possible Skrull Tazer on a discussion that reaches the highest of highs, gets heated at certain points, but ultimately they all reach the same conclusion – which conclusion is that, you ask…? Well, we plum forget; our memories are wacky that way. You’d better listen to the episode and find out! We’re less than 6 weeks away from Avengers: Endgame, folks, and the countdown is real! Until next time, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! We’ll be hanging out outside the local Blockbuster waiting for the newest VHS copy of Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse in the meantime…

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #292: Event Fatigue

Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to the latest installment of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast – the penultimate episode prior to the release of Avengers: Endgame! We’re all atwitter with excitement, as the intrepid Bry-Bry leads Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon and the man known only as Tazer through all the news that’s fit to print while trying to ignore the elephant-sized looming blockbuster in the room. While The Marvelous Iggy is lost in the Quantum Realm (and we wait for his return to discuss season 2 of The Punisher), the rest of the Warriors discuss the announcement and details of the Disney+ streaming service, the Marvel content that has already been announced, and what we’re all looking forward to most: specifically, we discuss our favorite choices for the forthcoming animated series What If…? We also discuss the first details about Jonathan Hickman’s House of X / Powers of X event, and – could it be – the possible inclusion of The Maker, a.k.a. evil Ultimate Reed Richards? Time will tell, as it will with Kevin Feige’s comments regarding when and how they will introduce the X-Men into the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and whether or not it’s all hogwash. Then, in reviews, Jon and Bry-Bry round-robin several series to catch up on Fantastic Four, War of the Realms, Immortal Hulk, The Punisher, and Symbiote Spider-Man! …This is it, folks… Endgame is upon us and, boy, are we already tired of anticipating it. But, all good things are worth the wait, just as all good things must come to an end – let’s just hope that it isn’t a big let-down after all… So, in the meantime, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Now, let’s go get those tickets......

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review-

Avengers: Endgame

15 years, 22 movies, 1 saga. We’re past the Endgame now, and there are several lingering questions: who lived? Who died? What’s the current status quo of the Marvel Cinematic Universe? What moments made you pump your fist? Did anything disappoint? These are the questions we answer, and it is indeed a full house: The Marvelous Iggy, our leader, Bry-Bry, Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon, and Tazer all convene to discuss the capstone film of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. What happens to Iron Man, Thor, and Captain America…? Listen in to find out, and then stick around for the end of the show to hear us talk about the new, full trailer for what is technically the end of Phase 3 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Spider-Man: Far From Home. All other words fail us at this time, so until next time be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! That’s our show for now, folks, so be sure to be back next time, and make it snappy!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #293: Hickman Is.

Greetings, ladies and gentlemen – you’re welcomed to another installment of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast. While Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon is off contending with the sky falling in Okie, Bry-Bry leads the Marvelous Iggy and Tazer in a roundtable discussion of all the news that’s happening in a post-Endgame world; they discuss Disney’s strengthening death-grip on the multimedia market and they acquire complete operational Hulu and announce several new shows for the streaming platform. In movie news, the boys discuss the developing of the Eternals, the continued delay of New Mutants, and the announced, if anonymous, slate of MCU productions for the next three years. Finally, in comic news, we’re reminded that everything dies as we discuss Jonathan Hickman’s impending cancellation of the entire line of X-Men comic books as sacrifice for his own creative vision, coming this July as House of X and Powers of X will be the only X-Men books on the shelves. Also in comics, the Warriors review some of the latest offerings from Marvel Comics – Tazer reviews Uncanny X-Men #17 where they put down a fan-favorite dog, Ben digs down further into the War of the Realms event by reviewing the absolute unit that is Giant Man #1, and Bry-Bry gets gnarly by reviewing Savage Avengers #1 and the prelude to the #1 issue featured in the Free Comic Book Day Avengers issue. Though books may be dying, our show lives – so be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review – Hickman demands your obedience and reverence. After all, Hickman is.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review-

Netflix's The Punisher: Season 2

Well, well… here we are. The second-to-last Marvel/Netflix product we’ll ever sample, and… yeah, it leaves a bad taste in the mouth. Not entirely unlike the sensation of getting knocked on the jaw by Frank Castle. That said, season 2 left something to be desired, and it’s been left to Bry-Bry, the Marvelous Iggy, and Tazer to sift through it all. Was there any good? What was the worst of the worst? What’s to be expected from the future of this property or any of the other Marvel/Netflix I.P.? These questions and more are discussed in the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast. Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. If it seems that we’re short on words this week, let’s just say we aren’t feeling it this week… and likely won’t be feeling it next week as, by all appearances, the cinematic bomb X-Men: The Last Stand has risen from the ashes and returned to the box office under the title Dark Phoenix, and we get to review it – yippy skippy.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review-

Dark Phoenix

Alas, poor Phoenix, we hardly knew ye… seriously, though, will we ever get a good, faithful adaptation of the Dark Phoenix saga? Probably not, and certainly not from Fox Studios – because there is no Fox Studios anymore. There is only the House of Mouse, and their complete Marvel library. So, how does the final Fox X-Men film stack-up to its counterpart years earlier? Does it rise like a flame, or will it be snuffed out – the audience mostly took care of that last bit, but join Bry-Bry, Ben the Marvelous Iggy, and Tazer as they dissect the good and the bad from this film, one category claiming more than the other; don’t shy away, though, as we also take this opportunity to talk about the celebrate the larger X-Men franchise that Fox produced – what did we like overall, what did we dislike, what will we miss… these questions and more are answered in this special review episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast. Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. Join us next week when we talk about… just, anything else other than disappointing Marvel adaptations in media…

As Peter Parker treks across Europe and battles Mysterio, the Warriors gather in full to dive as deep as we can on the coda to Marvel Studios’ Phase 3! How does Spider-Man’s second solo spectacle stack up as a signing-off from the MCU? Does it amaze us? Does it mystify us? Does it just plain suck? These questions, and more, are answered as The Marvelous Iggy, our newshound Bry-Bry, Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon, and Tazer get ’round to reviewing Spider-Man: Far From Home – and we’re very much looking forward to further adventures of Spidey in the MCU and are sure that nothing will ever compromise this rock-solid arrangement between Marvel Studios and Sony! Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review. Next time, it’s back to basics – konichiwa, webheads!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #296: The Future, and All Its Glories

Welcome to a forward-thinking episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel podcast, warriors and valkyrie! After taking the Labor Day holiday off, your favorite Marvel podcast is back – because who wants to work on Labor Day? Nay, I say! This week, we three- Newsboy Bry-Bru, Tazer, and the Marvelous Iggy himself, Ben, all gather ’round to catch up on what they’ve missed since recording an episode devoted to Spider-Man: Far From Home – specifically, they first discuss the fact that Sony’s partnership with Marvel Studios has been dissolved and there will not be any further collaborations of Tom Holland’s Spidey in the MCU! Do they take it as good news, bad news what does it mean for them for the future…? Listen and find out! The Warriors also discuss the rumored casting of Kate Bishop and the alleged inclusion of Hulkling in Captain Marvel 2, and if this could be teeing-up for Young Avengers (Sup, A-Train??!); in addition, there’s also the rumored forthcoming reboot of Marvel’s Inhumans within the MCU, and we talk about the announced properties of Ms. Marvel, She-Hulk, and Moon Knight (!!!) for Disney+! Then, in reviews, Tazer ruminates on the past and what it might mean for the future with Marvel Comics #1000, Ben heralds the forthcoming of a mad god more worthy of praise than any leader we know with Absolute Carnage #1 and #2, and Bry-Bry breaks down the state of affairs with the X-Men in House of X #4! As always, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter at @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Until next time, stay marvelous, kind listener, and remember to always keep an eye on that horizon for what’s to come!
