Nameless is probably too much of a commitment.

I don't want to be an asshole but I think her doctor might have been stretching it a bit calling it PTSD. I mean, which post was so traumatic? And was it his words that ate at you or the words of others that followed?

Harassment is childish. Its pathetic. Insulting creators can only be fun for so long then you realize you're childish and its pathetic. All Chris can do is apologize and move on. I hope he's a better person than he was before. And she has every right to dislike/hate him...but I'll still be picking it up. I don't have enough information to see something truly outlandish.

AXEL-IN-CHARGE: Shaping the "All-New, All Different Avengers" & "Uncanny Inhumans"
Quote:
We'll wrap with solietaire, who's looking several months into the future to ask, "Can you give us any hints about what's to come for the X-Franchise beyond the summer?"

Alonso:
The X-Men office is taking the opportunity of "Secret Wars" to build an entire new world for the characters -- to create a shared universe within the X-books that's set off by a huge event/incident/surprise. At that point, they're going to introduce a new team that feels unlike anything you've seen before. It'll be... "extraordinary."

If they do corner off the mutants, it better mean they put someone in charge that's going to bring some high caliber stories. I like when the X books are in sync and on their own but if it means they'll just be at the bottom tier where no one is looking because no one WANTS to look then I'll be saddened.

Just read Uncanny 33. I want Secret Wars to be over with tomorrow so I can know what direction the X-books are about to go in. I'm so bored with these now.

It's because you're reading a book starring Scott Summers. It's all his fault.

Uncanny X-Men #33 is exclusively a Kitty Pryde and Magik story.

Those list of books certainly doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. Though Bendis gave his praise of the next writer coming in.

After having skipped it originally, I'm interested in reading Avengers vs. X-Men. I pulled House of M off my shelf the other day and then I plan on re-reading Messiah Complex and Messiah War before getting AvX.

My question, is Avengers X-Sanction worth reading? I skipped it too when it came out, but it seems like a decent lead up to AvX. TPB for $6 on Amazon seems like a decent price, but I know Loeb wrote it and he can be a little unpredictable.

I don't know. I read the first two issues and realized that it wasn't for me and from what I was told it just went crazy. But then again, maybe its just because I didn't like Cyclops being villainized.

The tie-ins for AvX (and the Vs mini) were actually fairly good (I especially liked the X-Men Legacy and Avengers Academy tie-ins).

But the main series is the X-Men being what amounts to religious fanatics believing that only good things will come from the Phoenix coming to Earth (eating a dozen or so entire worlds along the way, including extremely peaceful ones) and rejecting anything that doesn't agree with their warped vision of a mutant rebirth and the Avengers being pragmatic and trying to avert disaster.

I could go into detail but I really don't feel like it, not for that piece of shit. Marvel can do good events, I did like Siege a lot, for example, but they can also do real turds (AvX, Fear Itself, probably Battle of the Atom).

I recommend you avoid AvX unless you want tie-ins (again, the two I mentioned are very well done), and while the majority of the Vs trade is what you would expect with some obvious bullshit and some small gems, the final two parts (the last actual Vs issue and the A-Babies vs X-Babies by Skottie Young) are great.

I think maybe I'll hold off until I can get a real cheap used copy off Amazon.

I don't recommend Avengers X-Sanction because it's a lame prelude to Avengers vs. X-Men that is pretty forgettable and it's pretty much covered in AvX. Have you read Second Coming? If you haven't, I recommend that storyline over Avengers X-Sanction.

I'll offer you the minority opinion about Avengers vs. X-Men in that I enjoyed the series and thought it is worth reading. It's not great (so I would recommend getting a used trade on Amazon), but I enjoyed it and would recommend it on the level that it is the bookend to House of M. I know how AvX is widely regarded as a huge disappointment because of all of illogical actions/out of character moments and disagreeable story telling, but that doesn't mean it doesn't have it's merits, which are Cyclops was right in calling out Captain America and the Avengers for not standing up and protecting mutants when their help was needed the most as mutants were an endangered species and Cyclops was right in making the mutant problem into everyone's problem and that Cyclops was ultimately right. He wasn't the hero everyone wanted, but he's the hero that everyone deserved.

In short, AvX was hyped to be the next Civil War like event, but it really was just a way to resolve:
