Harriet Glickman died Friday morning at her home in Sherman Oaks. She was 93.

She was a retired school teacher and mother of three. Her son Paul Glickman is a senior editor here and veteran of our newsroom and, through him, we got to know a little bit about his mother.

Harriet has a very interesting place in history. In 1968, she wrote to “Peanuts” creator Charles Schulz asking him to do something remarkable at the time: integrate his famous comic strip, which led to the creation of Franklin.

A former hippie guru who lived the high life in Europe for years after murdering his ex-girlfriend in Philadelphia in the 1970s has died in prison.

Ira Einhorn, 79, died early Friday at SCI-Laurel Highlands of natural causes, according to Susan McNaughton, a spokeswoman for the state Department of Corrections. The death at the Somerset prison was not related to the COVID-19 virus, she said.

I have nothing else to add. He was a bad person.
