I might give it a shot. One of my friends is trying to get me into Bleach and Deathnote. Are these any good?

Both are good. Although Bleach does have some of the typical anime elements. Lots of shouting ocassional buy eyes and cuteness but the overall story is great. Death Note is great. It's very much a thriller, spy vs spy, detective kinda anime. Lot's of twists and turns and very smart.

Well they both have death gods in them....i would say Bleach is more along the lines of grim reapers. The term they use is Soul Reaper.....I think we are derailing this threa bit too much lol. We can continue in the anime thread if ya like.

Quite honestly I think this is the best look ever for a GL animated series:

It's not anime, but it's also more dynamic than the Bruce Timm style.

If anything it looks closer to the Spec. Spidey cartoon just minus the shroom eyes.

If we could get a cartoon for GL like Spec Spiderman has been for Spidey, I'd be a VERY happy camper

Spec Spiderman also has good writers, great storylines and an awesome theme song.

Looks like The Batman type of animation. Arms look a little short.

That Hal is pretty slick, I could get into a show with that kinda style. But really the deciding factor for me is which route TPTB take. I don't want a Hal Jordan only series, I want a GLC series including all the other Earth GL's and the better part of the GLC. I don't mind if it sticks to the comics or not, so long as Kyle and Guy get a little face time.

I think it'd be nice to have a perfect balance of GLC action, and doing heroic things on Earth... that part has been missing from the comics lately.

I would expect a Hal focused show, but with the occasional team ups with John, Guy, Kyle and even Alan from time to time. I'd be content with that.

Defintely would need a massive season finale at some point with the entire Corp facing a challenge.
