And it didnīt help that Jones was giving a some interviews afterwards and being invited to conventions as "Nick Jones AKA John Stewart in the Green Lantern movie" way before the movie was released.
Not sure if WB was happy about that.

I'm pretty sure the cameo was never shot, because it was never intended to happen. The actor was only hired to play an extra and that was it.

It is the Nobel Collection light up ring. So get the walmart pack with the ring and you get the ring and the dvd for $23 give or take where as the ring by it's self is $15.

Here are the pics I took of the ring from the DVD pack.

I don't think it's him.

I just looked at the scene and compared pics and they don't look too much a like. Also it was "reported" that Jones would be in uniform for that scene I believe. The black guy is supposed to be a ferris air employee.

We don't have confirmation that his scene wasnt cut.

I looked at the credits and unfortunately they dont have a "black guy in alley" listing.

Soooooo, I'm thinking of getting this for myself on my birthday. Can someone who's seen both versions enough times tell me what the extra stuff is? How many scenes? What the scenes are? Something RELEVANT to the fraggin' thread!

Who cares if people say John Waynes ghost was on set.
C'mon, folks! Give me something I can use!

For an extended cut, that doesn't sound very exciting...
Does it add to the experience? Or should I just try and find a copy with a ring?

Thanks, btw. I thought people were just kind of talking about the speculation of John's character being in it and forgetting to talk about the actual goodies added in.

Sadly the producers of the films never cared for Green Lantern, and wanted to use the brand in an attempt to sell toys. Sad, but true.

It depends. If you're getting the Blu ray, it's not a big price difference. Not sure it's available on DVD.
