Okay, nothing special. I laughed at the beginning but near the middle the movie began to drag; besides I’ve seen similar type of movies like this one several times.

Assault on Precinct 13 (2005)

Not bad, really, but it felt a little forced in the dialogue, how the characters tried to come off as hard-as-nails. I couldn't buy into any of that because if just felt artificial.

And while Marion Bishop (Fishbourne) was no Napoleon Wilson (1976 version's star criminal), he was fairly good. Too bad Ethan Hawke's Sergeant Roenick was not that good.

Santa Claus Conquers the Martians (1964)

"Balderdash and fiddle dee dee!"

The Nightmare before Christmas (1993)

"Kidnap Sandy Claws, hit him with a stick."

Silent Night, Deadly Night (1984)

"Punish!"

I need to watch that one soon. Cause, you know, it's always Christmas on the warm side of the door.

Technically, I'm watching two more killer Santa movies, but they're foreign and based on the hidden "real" Saint Nick (Saint Nick and Rare Exports: A Christmas Tale), but this is a favorite. They actually go to great lengths to explain the psychology of the killer, which is cool.
Yeah, that's a weird song but not as creepy as the main "Santa's Watching." Too bad the sequels all sucked. #2 is one of the worst slashers I've ever seen (mind you like 60% of it just stock from #1). #3 is pretty bad. #4-5 are decent enough (probably helped by Brian Yuzna as director then producer) but have little to do with Christmas and nothing to do with the other movies.

Cool. Never have watched any of the Silent Night/Deadly Night sequels, but apparently I'm not missing much. I've had a slight interest in seeing Part 2, mainly due to how the original ended, but it sounds awful and on the same level of the original 'The Hills Have Eyes Part 2' where footage from #1 was extensively used. If I'm not mistaken, even a friggin' DOG had a flashback scene!!

LOL. Haven't seen that yet.

Yeah, that ending was a good set-up for a sequel and they do pick up from there, but unfortunately Billy's brother doesn't have the same agenda, so he doesn't distinguish between naughty and nice and he doesn't even wait for Christmas! For some bizarre reason, though, it became an internet meme. It's the source of "Garbage Day":

The Alligator People (1959)

"I'll kill you, alligator man! Just like I kill a four-legged gator!"

I love this film. Lon Chaney Jr. as a drunken, hook-handed swamp-dweller who had a raging mad-on for all things alligator must be the best supporting role of all time.

Sint (aka Saint Nick, 2010)

A so-so Dutch Christmas horror flick where the titular saint is actually a murderous ghost. It's best ideas were covered in The Fog and Santa's Slay.

It's a Wonderful Life (1946)

"... this rabble you're talking about... they do most of the working and paying and living and dying in this community"

Truly one of the greatest films.

And an atempted-rapist! It is a little different for him. If you haven't seen it yet, try Spider Baby. There aren't any creatures in it but it has a weird cannibal family which LCJ heads up (here he's the closest one to a "voice of reason").

Not bad, not bad at all. I liked it, very entertaining. I just hope that the second and third part are better.
