    My advice to you is to forget DC and Marvel. Instead, pitch an idea to Image. It's a lot easier to break in there, and you'll own anything you create. If your comic sells, you'll make as much money as DC or Marvel would pay you.

    And don't think that reading a zillion comics will make you a comics writer. You should study the things that comics don't do.

    I broke in as a writer by winning a screenplay competition with more than 2,000 entrants, so the odds are against anyone replicating that. Image or one of the other creator-owned houses is your best bet.

    I've taken all my GL stories offline because I'm using some of that material in another script I've written. I'm very optimistic that I'll sell it.
