Can't say as I'm completely thrilled that The Mouse has control over yet another property.

I kind of doubt it. I would think that Disney would rather devote resources to the ongoing series of movies they are planning, rather than a live-action TV series. I think a lot of the excitement for the TV series stemmed from the fact that it would mean more Star Wars, when we "knew" we weren't getting any more films. Now that we are, and apparently every couple years to boot, I think the demand would be less. Could still happen, though. What do I know?

HAH! I would laugh so hard if Clone Wars moved to Disney Channel. Green Lantern and Young Justice looking pretty good, now, eh Cartoon Network?

Well if it did happen, then Cartoon Network deserves it. They suck these days.

Is this a sincere post? I mean is it really?

It can't be.... right?

So you clearly understand that they will be using a new cast.

If they completely recast and make new characters, I'm not gonna complain.

I still can't believe that another Star Wars trilogy is happening and it's going to distributed by Disney. Insane!

I still can't tell if you're being sincere...

Of course they won't use the same cast.

I DON'T CARE!

Old cast, new cast, whatever.

It's not about whether you care or not it's about thinking that it's even a possibility.

Here's some rough math behind this deal. This is without taxes and other things of the sort.

Lucas made off with 2 billion in cash, and 40 million shares of Disney stock.

Disney traded at $50 a share today. Just some perspective - if Disney even increases their shares to $53, Lucas would make $120 million. Just by being a fat bastard with Disney shares.

But I'm hoping they get good creative talent on this!

They won't hire him. Disney is too good at investing to let Lucas turn the sequels into a train wreck.
