Kick-Ass was extremely forgettable. All I remember is the car and jetpack, the ugly red outfit and a rocket launcher.Goodbye Christopher Hitchins 1949 - 2011

The pace of film is well done, as it allows for character developments and builds towards the climatic ending.
The script also allows the audience to ponder the moral issues posed by Erik, which is, in light of the Nazi holocaust, should mutants wipe out normal humans to ensure the safety of their species and prevent a mutant holocuast? The script also is faithful with the source material in one of the major themes, and that's being able to be who you are without fear or repercussions. A theme constant the X-Men comic book. Mystic was symbolic of this theme.
In short, the film's themes are in sync with the source material, there are wonderful acting performances and great chemistry between the characters, and the film is engrained with excellent symbolism and metaphors.Last edited by Darth_Primus; 07-12-2011, 11:52 PM.You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. Superman is definitely number one on my list mostly because of nostaglic reasons.Last edited by Darth_Primus; 07-12-2011, 11:53 PM.You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!

EDIT: Now that I think of it, I wonder what the fanboy reaction would have been if Donner's Superman was released today, especially the part where Superman flys around the earth in the opposite direction of the rotations to make time for in reverse. I'm sure that would be up for fanboy fodder.Last edited by Darth_Primus; 07-12-2011, 11:56 PM.You just witnessed the strength of geek knowledge. N.W.A., Nerd With Attitude. Straight out of Vulcan!
