The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special:

Episode #272: Fly Phoenix Fly!

Risin’ up, back on the streets… Oh, we’re back, baby! Returning to our standard format for the first time in 2018, it’s the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast – and we’re flyin’ like an eagle into the – wait a second, why are we making so many references to eagles? Did something happen? Why does Bry-Bry appear to be unimaginably salty? Who can say? That won’t stop our glorious leader The Marvelous One, Iggy, from turning the screws, though, as Tazer laughs along and Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon, begrudgingly, offers some sympathy. Pain and suffering aside, we delve into the latest news fit to print: We talk about the trailer for the next anticipated installment in the MCU, Ant-Man and the Wasp, we discuss the latest images from the set of Captain Marvel and discuss if her costume is hot or not, and lastly Ben sings the swan song- happily- of Dan Slott’s tenure as the head honcho of the Spider-Man line of comics in Marvel editorial. In reviews, meanwhile, Bry-Bry evaluates Old Man Hawkeye #1 and discusses what promises the book holds compared to Old Man Logan, Tazer wonders if Moon Girl is as smart as she thinks she is in Moon Girl and Devil Dinosaur #27, Jon-Jon takes the lead with Bry-Bry occasionally jumping in, a regular Ben Grimm-and-Johnny Storm combo, to discuss the modern-day greatness of Marvel Two-in-One #1 and #2, and finally Iggy sends us off with a fiery finale reviewing X-Men: Phoenix Resurrection – the whole series! Believe me, he makes the time count as there doesn’t seem to be much there. And hey – more bird references! While Bry-Bry picks himself up from crying in the corner, don’t forget to like our page on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and maybe rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Next time, we take a Wakanda wild side… I’m so, so terribly sorry for that pun.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #273: Black & Tan

Top o’ the mornin’ to ya! Greetings, salutations – welcome to the latest edition of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, now with 100% less white people, because there isn’t any problem that can’t be solved by removing the resident white boys from a situation. Yes, while Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon-Jon is off flippin’ them burgers and resident newsie/whipping boy Bry-Bry is off by himself in the cold and the dark of a New England winter storm, it’s just the glorious leader, the Marvelous Iggy a.k.a. Ben, and the world’s most frequent part-time host Tazer to take the reins and guide this show to glory! In the news this week, they seem to be off to a good start with praise to Robert Downey, Jr as Avengers: Infinity War has been bumped-up the release schedule a week earlier than anticipated – worldwide! Huzzah! But will it be soon enough for The Man? The Warriors address the failing health of Marvel’s most iconic creator Stan Lee, elder of the Marvel Universe. And finally, Iggy and Tazer discuss the forthcoming reboot and – wait, didn’t we cover this reboot news already? …Yeah, like a year or so ago? …This is a new one? Another one? Again? Sheesh, alright, ANOTHER reboot coming your way and the boys discuss some of the prospective titles. Meanwhile, in reviews, The Marvelous One rides solo in reviewing Infinity Countdown: Prime #1! That’s our show for this week, folks! Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Next week, with some (and only some, as stressed by our glorious leader) acknowledgement of New York City’s most troubled superpowered P.I. and her second season, we’ll hopefully be back to full strength! Stay tuned, and stay strong Stan.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #274: [SCREAMING]

Everybody, STAY F@#$ING CALM – it’s just the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! But, gosh, is there a LOT to get loud about! While Ol’ Man Whirlyburger is off letting his clientele know what exactly they think about ‘em, The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, Newsboy Bry-Bry, and Tazer get together to scream, and shout, and let it all out! They scream about the casting of Luke Cage’s new villain for season 2, to be portrayed by Annabella Sciorra, they shout about the newest editions to Marvel’s latest reboot, which include a new #1 for novelty mutant sensation Dazzler, and a demotion for Laura Kinney back to the old X-23 moniker, and they let it all out about the last Avengers: Infinity War trailer before the release of the movie and OH MY GOD IT’S ALMOST HERE AAAAHHHH!!!!!!!! …Ahem, excuse me… Anyway, in reviews, Ben wonders aloud why nobody is paying more attention to Infinity Countdown #1, if only because it’s apparently supposed to be an event comic? Tazer voices (quite sternly) his disappointment in New Mutants: Dead Souls #1, and Bry-Bry sings to the heavens the praises of Marvel 2-in-One #4, and commends Ben Grimm on a solid right hook. Next week, we’re back at it again – this time with a partial review of Jessica Jones, maybe! Tune in to find out!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #276: Magical Chaos

It’s the end of the Marvel Universe as we know, and we feel fiiiiiiiiooooOOOOH MY GOD WE’RE ALL GONNA DIE! ahem …Excuse me, I apologize – this is the penultimate episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast prior to the kicking-off of the Infinity War, and, boy, are we not ready. But! We’re keeping ourselves distracted enough that we’ll tide you over until showtime! The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, leads Newsie Bry-Bry and Tazer through the chaos and into the news – they discuss the prospect of a Scarlet Witch solo project possible tied-into the House of M storyline, the hot topic of the possible casting of John Krasinski and Emily Blunt as Reed Richards, a.k.a. Mister Fantastic, and Susan Storm-RIchards, a.k.a. The Invisible Woman, respectively; we also discuss the possible resurrection of the Ultimate Marvel universe – just in time for the MCU to die, will the Ultimate Universe rise again? Perhaps that’s a question for another day… Meanwhile, in reviews, The Marvelous Iggy breaks down the gorgeous tome that is X-Men: Grand Design Vol. 1 and Vol. 2, Bry-Bry relates the latest tale of woe from Jessica Jones’ life: season 2 of her Netflix show. Tazer, meanwhile, cracks open the latest OGN in Jim Starlin’s cosmic catalogue, Thanos: Infinity Siblings! Well, pop the cork on your finest liquor, friends, because we’re goin’ down, down, down next time with Avengers: Infinity War! Until then, though, but that’s our show for this week, folks! It's all good.

I'm surprised Iggy got away with calling you his "Black Dwarf," but it was freaking hilarious.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #277: It’s Rainin’ Celestials!!

Hi, hi! We’re your Mighty Warriors Three, and have we got a podcast for you! You better listen – get ready, all you loyal listeners, as we delve into latest news and reviews from the past few weeks! It is a double-sized annual of an episode as we discuss the renewal (huzzah!) of Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and the cancellation (duh) of Inhumans; we also talk about the theft of the O.G. Iron Man suit used in the first MCU flick, and then it’s trailer talk as we discuss the latest teasers for Venom, Ant-Man and the Wasp, and season 2 of Luke Cage! Meanwhile, in reviews, the Warriors Three tackle a topic they haven’t touched in quite some time: a Book of the Week with the relaunch of Avengers #1, running parallel to the very first Avengers story that occurred 1,000,000 B.C.! Then in individual reviews, Ben visits a utopian future where girls run the world in All-New Wolverine #34, part 2 of “Old Woman Laura”. Tazer conducts his own parlour scene as he delves into the mysterious circumstances of Logan’s resurrection in Hunt for Wolverine #1, and Jon reminds Iggy that he isn’t the only one paying attention to Infinity Countdown when he reviews the third issue in the event series. Finally, Bry-Bry closes up shop by talking about all the ways that Thanos ruins lives with Thanos Annual #1! And that’s our show for this week, folks! Be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Until next time, try to remember your umbrellas before you leave the house – you never know WHAT may just fall out of the sky…

Episode #278: Finally Back!

Like Phoenix, we, The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast......have returned. No Bryan this week, but Iggy, Jon, and Tazer gather around the table of Odin (I’m sure Odin had a table named after him) to discuss: the cancellation of X-Men Gold & Blue; Krakoa- The Island That Walks Like A Man fighting Colonel Nick Fury, and the stupidity of Wolverine’s new powers. For individual reviews, Ben tackles the direction for T’challa with Black Panther #1 & #2, Jon dives into Weapon H #4, and Tazer asks if were ready for this with Tony Stark: Iron Man #1. Thank you for listening, remember to leave a review and subscribe to us. Also, tip your waitresses......please. We’ll see y’all in two weeks for a special review of Ant-Man and the Wasp.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Special Review:

Ant-Man & the Wasp

Step right up, folks – tall or tiny, we welcome all dear listeners to the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, this time a special review of the first of 2 films set to debut between the destruction of half the universe in Avengers: Infinity War and "Avengers 4". It’s time for Ant-Man & the Wasp, the first movie with a female Marvel character sharing top billing with her male counterpart. The Marvelous One, Iggy (a.k.a. Ben) gathers ‘round Ol’ Man Whirlyburger (a.k.a. Jon-Jon) and a goliath of cynicism and fanboy rage (a.k.a. Tazer) to discuss the good, the bad, and the ugly this time: what stood tall in this latest Marvel Cinematic Universe product, and what was better left to shrink away into the corner? Bry-Bry doesn’t know, lost to the quantum realm that he is, but before you give this episode a listen and find out, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Next time, perhaps they’ll rediscover Bry-Bry, or maybe he’ll be left adrift as the other three members of the team – oh, right: SPOILER ALERT.

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #279: …Iron Fist again, I guess?

#279, here we come you guys! Ready yourselves for…for… Eh, alright, look: a lot of stuff has happened since we last did a proper episode, so just… Hold on while we ease back into things, alright? Iggy, the Marvelous One, reunites Newsie Bry-Bry, Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon, and infant candy thief Tazer as they tackle the biggest news since… Really, the last few weeks. Explosive topical discussion abounds as the trio talk about the firing of James Gunn from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise and the larger implications of this event. Join in as the Warriors discuss the pros and cons of Disney buying-out 20th Century Fox multimedia, including reclaiming the Fantastic Four and the X-Men properties. All told, the geeky side of things is a-okay, but the actual business side of things may be… Morally questionable. Ensuing round-up conversation about Dark Phoenix, New Mutants, and even Iron Fist season 2 tilt towards vaguely positive – huzzah! Spider-Man is, amazingly, back to basics and Iggy is loving it as he reviews issues #1 and #2, Jon-Jon is pleasantly surprised by Dan Slott in Tony Stark: Iron Man #2, Tazer compares thee to a summer break-up in Cloak & Dagger #1, and Bry-Bry goes OFF in his review of Old Man Hawkeye #6. Gosh, that’s a lot since last we met – but at least we’re back in full force! Until next time, dear listeners! Now, though, before you go, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Never say we didn’t give you anything!

The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast Presents:

Episode #280: Danke Schoen, Ditko!

It’s episode #280! …Or, is it? Oh, we don’t know – we’re forgetful. Anyway, this is the latest episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! Our fearless leader, the Marvelous Iggy, is adrift this week in a cosmic sea, and so it’s up to Newsie Bry-Bry to play substitute teacher and attempt to rein-in the wily old men known as Ol’ Man Whirlyburger Jon and Tazer (Boy, does he fail hard.) In fact, the crew spend so much time talking about the first full Venom trailer, Sony’s other Spider-verse film projects, and the forthcoming Uncanny X-Men event, DISASSEMBLED, that they barely have time to sneak in a roundtable review before Jon-Jon gets abducted by aliens…! Or something like that, who can say? But cosmic adventure is the name of the game this week as the group finally has another Book of the Week to review, and it’s the return of Marvel’s First Family in Fantastic Four #1! Then, once Jon-Jon vanishes, Tazer tackles the tricky subject of death – that is, it’s tricky for him to not take so much glee in reviewing Death of the Inhumans #1 and #2! Then, Bry-Bry catches up with cosmic psychotic Frank Castle when he reviews Cosmic Ghost Rider #1 and #2 – it’s a double-dose of Donny Cates in individual reviews this week, and lest we forget to pay proper homage to Steve Ditko at the top of the show. Now, before you dive in to this week’s show, be sure to follow us on Facebook at The Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, follow us on Twitter @Warriorz3Pcast, subscribe to us on iTunes, and perhaps rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review! Hopefully we’ll turn up with a full complement next week, but then we thought that the Fantastic Four would be fully reunited by the end of issue #1, too…
