Episode #245: Six Degrees of Daken Bacon

We’re back, baby! With apologies from Bry-Bry, we bring the latest installment of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, and we’re now living in a post-NYCC ’16 world! As such, to kick off the news segment, we dissect the newly-released trailer for Marvel & Netflix’s Iron Fist, as well as the recently announced news of Sigourney Weaver cast as the main villain of Marvel & Netflix’s The Defenders series! In addition, the Warriors also talk about the third Wolverine standalone flick: Logan, and the announcement of Boyd Holbrook’s villainous character, and Dan Slott coming aboard as a consulting producer on the (yet again) rebooted Spider-Man animated series as a consulting producer. In reviews for this week, there’s plenty to talk about as we’ve been away for too long! Ben helps picks up the pieces of the magical realm in Doctor Strange #12, Tazer is elated by the discovery of, and then disappointed by, Cage #1, Jon doesn’t understand the young people in Champions #1, and Bryan keeps us up to date on mutant affairs with Death of X #1! Also, an impromptu discussion of Steve Rogers: Captain America #5! That’s our show for this week, folks, and it is good to be back! Be sure to join us again next time for the next exciting episode, and stay tuned ‘til the end of the show to find out what our plans are for a full series review of Marvel & Netflix’s Luke Cage! Until next time, remember to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind word, and we promise we won’t be away for so long again… at least, not without notice. Stay marvelous!

        • Episode #246: Political Snow Job

Get together, Marvelites and DC loyalists, because we’re crossing the aisle in this scattershot edition of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! In true political fashion, Ol’ Man Whirlyburger is away mediating a dispute between The Burger King and The Colonel, so 1st Alternate Tazer steps in to help fill the void! In the news this week, the Marvelous Iggy, our El Presidente, Bry-Bry, his joke V.P., and Tazer all gather ‘round to discuss the RESSURXION event – because we’re God-fearing Politicians, as well as formerly closeted mutant Iceman receiving his own series in the wake of the event. The Warriors Party also covers the false rumors of a return of Blade to the movies, the recent upsetting revelations in Spider-Man: The Clone Conspiracy, and El Presidente allows a tete-a-tete between Tazer and Bry-Bry to talk about the latest season of Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. so far. Meanwhile, in reviews, Bry-Bry tackles the beautiful, hot mess that is Uncanny Avengers #15, and Tazer involuntarily sparks a Bill Russell v. Michael Jordan debate with his review of Mosaic #1! That’s our show for this week, my fellow comic readers! Please, don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind word in reviews, and join us again next time for another thrilling episode

          • Episode #247: Trump’s America

It’s time to make Marvel great again here on the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, and boy, do we have some shakeups in store for you, dear listener! Our minority leader, the Marvelous Iggy, has been voted out of office! Bry-Bry is the new leader of the Mighty Warriors Three! However, in a fashion after current leaders of the free world, he has no idea how to do his job and couldn’t even be bothered to show up this week, so the Marvelous Iggy will be sticking around for a while to help coach Bry-Bry how to do his job before Iggy gets deported. Joining Iggy this week, suspected terrorist Kuhan and suspected liberal protestor-slash-career criminal Tazer all gather together into some sort of conspiratorial posse to discuss crooked Elektra getting her own series and escaping justice once again, the filthy Inhumans being given their own show by the liberal media, and how Fox Studios is planning to rebuild the X-Men franchise and make Marvel Studios pay for it! Meanwhile, in reviews this week, Iggy tackles how he’ll destroy radical time-traveling terrorist Kang the Conqueror in Avengers #1, Kuhan talks about a man that is probably a Black Lives Matter member and his apologist liberal sympathizer in Power Man and Iron Fist #10, and Tazer talks about Civil War II #6. (Let’s be honest, there’s only so many jokes you can make before the obvious ones become obvious, and that entry was too loaded to take any further, otherwise the poor author of this episode description would be here all night.) That’s our show for this week, America! It’s gonna be a long four years ahead, so break out the mead and drink to forget! But, before you do, don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us with 5 stars and say only glowing praise about us or we’ll deport your ass, too, and join us again next time where we convene a special council to finally bring Loki to justice!

            • Special Edition: Marvel’s Luke Cage

Can you feel the power, man! After numerous technical difficulties The Mighty Warriors Three finally tackles the third show from the Marvel and Netflix partnership. Did Ben, Tazer, and Bryan enjoy it? Is it better or worse then previously shows? What about the future of Luke Cage? Grab yourself a Georgia peach and listen to us ramble about how sexy Power Man really is.

              • Episode #249: It’s Mahvel, Baby!

LET’S GET IT ON! Welcome to another fight-pickin’ edition of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, and we’re throwin’ down on the streets and filled with RAGE! The Marvelous Iggy lays down the law and declares the rumored announcement of Marvel vs. Capcom 4 the only news he cares for this week! As such, brawlin’ newsie Bry-Bry, black rager Tazer, and the return of Ol’ man Whirlyburger also trade blows about the relaunch of the Secret Warriors and Bry-Bry is mad – REAL mad! Oh, but you ain’t seen nothin’ yet! In reviews, Iggy gets intergalactic-planetary with The Ultimates 2 #1, Tazer watches a black man trade blows with a white woman in Jessica Jones #2, and Bryan unleashes unrestrained fury fueled by the white-hot intensity of 1,000 suns as Death of X comes to its anticlimactic close. As we bow to one-another and exit the field of battle, we ask that you remember to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind review, and join us again next time! …Or we’ll find you.

                • Episode #250: Mahvel CONFIRMED

Everybody was kung-fu fightin’… IN SPAAAAACE! Welcome, ladies and gentlemen, to an edition of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast that has the main crew in a fighting mood! The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, is flanked by Bry-Bry, Tazer, and the return of Ol’ man whirlyburger: Jon-Jon! In the news this week, Iggy leads off with the confirmation of Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite! They then follow that up with talk about the teaser trailer for Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2, before getting all fired up in reviews because the team was made to read Inhumans vs. X-Men #0 and boy, does it suck! But that’s not all! Iggy is frustrated with Ms. Marvel #13, Jon-Jon is disappointed in Infamous Iron Man #2, and Bry-Bry is just lukewarm on Old Man Logan #14. Finally, we close things out with talk of who we’d like to see make an appearance in the new installment of Marvel vs. Capcom! That’s our fighty edition of the show for this week, folks! ‘Scuse us while we whip these out–! …What? It’s just recording equipment, because this is another all-new episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast, and we’re baring it all for you kind folks! In the news this week, the Marvelous Iggy, Bry-Bry, and Tazer all drop their two cents on the table as they discuss Ryan Reynolds campaigning to once more star alongside Hugh Jackman-as-Wolverine, famed author R. L. Stine trying his hand at writing comics, and the Warriors slobber all over the first trailer for Spider-Man: Homecoming! Meanwhile, in reviews this week, the Warriors gather ‘round in big circle to yak about the books they’ve read – Iggy pushes for female companionship in Champions #3, Bry-Bry is surrounded by collars and bindings in The Unworthy Thor #2, and Tazer questions where the random Spanish came from in Nova #1. Before we scare you away any more than we already have, remember to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review, and join us again next time for our last shot of the year, and we’re going Rogue for that one… it’s gonna be bueno, bueno, bueno!

                      • Mighty Warriors Three Special: Doctor Strange

By the Hoary Hosts of Hoggoth! The Mighty Warriors Three ride again – this time, they ride to the movies to see the first big screen iteration of the Sorcerer Supreme, Doctor Strange! How did Bassdrop Cumberwubwub stack up to Peter Hooten? Was the facial hair the star of the show? Will the public riot now that Clea is having Brother Voodoo’s interracial baby? All those questions and more are NOT answered on this podcast – c’mon, man, we’re professionals. But we do weigh in on what we liked, what we dislike, and what the film means in terms of impact for the future of the franchise and the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Be sure not to miss out, else we banish you to the Dark Dimension! But before we enslave you mind, body, and soul, don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave a kind word in review, and join us again next time for your regularly scheduled episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast

Welcome, peons, to the latest, better-than-you episode of the Mighty Warriors Three Marvel Podcast! Raise your hands forth and accept the glorious gifts we’re gracious enough to bestow upon you! New news this week: Marvel Entertainment and Square Enix, glorious and exalted are they, have come together to deliver the good word unto the peasants: what’s sure to be a SUPER expensive-looking Avengers video game, and many more games to come of their multi-year partnership! #Reassemble Also, The Mighty Warriors discuss how Marvel Entertainment plans to expand its base of power and revenue by including up to 67 Marvel characters in the forthcoming Infinity War, and the ascendance of Cloak & Dagger to Marvel Cinematic godhood in the form of their actors being cast for the Freeform drama! In reviews, Ben takes us on a private tour of the most exclusive psyche – his own, with Hulk #2, and Bryan is beside himself with the wealth of talent brought to bear with Civil War II: The Oath, only to have it amount to nothing, not unlike rich kids’ ambitions. With that, we’re kicking the dust off of our feet from this fandom and moving on up in the world! Before we do, though, don’t forget to subscribe to us on iTunes, rate us favorably and leave glowing praise in reviews, and maybe you’ll be a good enough person next week to join us again! We’re all by ourselves tonight, but that’s alright because it’s another stunning episode of the Mighty Warrior Three Marvel Podcast! We’re two-man power-trippin’ through this episode, Jon-Jon and Tazer are out doing God-knows-what for Valentine’s Day, leaving The Marvelous Iggy, a.k.a. Ben, and Bry-Bry get together around a roaring fire to discuss all the news that we’ve missed over the last couple of weeks: we talk about X-MEN: SUPERNOVA, the alleged next installment of the mainstream X-Men franchise featuring Sophie Turner as a Dark Phoenix-infused Jean Grey! We do a roll call of Marvel and Hulu’s forthcoming RUNAWAYS cast and characters, featuring James Marsters a.k.a. Spike from the Whedonverse (with a shoutout to our very own Arnold “A-Train” Alfred)! We also dissect the new, full trailer for Marvel and Netflix’s IRON FIST, and review the sneak peek of day one of shooting for AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, featuring RDJ, Chris Pratt, Tom Holland, and Thor & Rocket Raccoon fighting side-by-side! As we move on from the foreplay, we get a little bit raunchy with our reviews – impromptu book of the week is All-New Wolverine #17, Iggy talks about viruses in Ms. Marvel #15, and Bryan observes the finer points of seduction at work in Kingpin #1! Finally, The Marvelous One and Bry-Bry climax by discussing who they’d most like to spend Valentine’s Day with from the Marvel Universe!
