Default Predators Movie Opinions

Seen the movie earlier today and was mighty impressed with it. Really hope a sequel is made from it loved the characters and the new type of predators. So hopefully we wont have to wait as long for a decent sequel to this movie

Anyone agree or disagree ?

Seeing it tomorrow as well. I have high hopes. I want this to wash the bad tastes of the two terrible AvP movies out of my mouth, and be worthy of the first two Predator films.

AvP 1 was good 2 was eh it had a plot but it just tried too hard for the R rating. I felt it took away from the story by trying to spread more blood and guts than plot, as for the topic at hand, I can't wait to see it tommarow its going to kick ass and hopefully this means we'll be getting predator movies more often or maybe a really good AvP movie at some point.

I had issues with AVP 1, like the 3 minute alien gestation period....

True, that was a little off not as off though as the Predalien directly implanting 2-4 embryos into a host directly like it was done in avp 2

I just can't get over how cool it is that we're finally getting a proper Predator sequel after so many years. Everything I've seen looks just so perfect.

In my gut, though, I'm a little worried for it. I feel like it's not being promoted/hyped enough...

Just got home from seeing it. As long as you don't mind it being very derivitive of the first one...it's fucking awesome. Blows away the two crappy AvP films, and it's much better than Predators 2 (which I still like). I'm on the fence over if I like it more than the first movie. You can't underestimate nostalgia, but #3 has a LOT going for it. Even though it's a lot like the Schwarzeneggar movie, it uses what worked and took everything to the next level. A perfect guy movie.

I just might leave the sanctity of my man cave and check this out over the weekend. It's been a while since I've been to the theaters.

It seems a wee bit unbelievable when you compare him to Arnold and all the musclebound guys in the first film, but it worked for me. Once I got past the guy from the Piano being a badass mercenary, it was ok. I was actually surprised how good of shape he was in for such a scrawny fuck. I just suspended disbelief for one more thing. At least it wasn't a hot chick kicking ass . That irritates me to no end in movies.

The movie was good. Not great. Adrian Brody....I just didn't buy him in the part he was playing. It'll be a real travesty is Christian Bale catches shit for his Batman voice, and Adrian Brody doesn't catch shit for his "I'm a bad ass" voice.

At one point, I really thought the guy was going to whip out a cape and cowl. But he didn't and it was a real disappointment.

That being said, I really enjoyed everything else. It was good to see the Predators back in the forest. City Predators just don't feel as menacing.

I was watching the Attack of the Show junket for this movie. Looks pretty good. It was funny how the director Rodriguez said he pretty much ignored Predator 2 and the other films and just said this basically continues from the original.

I'm going to try and see it this weekend, but I might see Toy Story 3 instead.

Not sure if I buy the wholebigger meaner Predator sub-species. But at least they made cultural differences between the two. Old school preds will hunt you down with honor, sometimes in single, fair, combat. New Preds... are the fuckin' red necks that bring machine guns and grenades to a deer hunt.

Just got out of Predators. Awesome fucking movie. The writers, and director really understood what made the original movie so fun to watch. That was what carried this as a piece of entertainment. The tension, payoff, everything from beginning to end was really well constructed.

I didn't like Adrien Brody in this role, but he didn't get in the way of the fun. The entire ensemble was well done.

i hope we can say the same for the 2 alien prequals that are comming and just for the record i think a future avp film is a bad idea because 2 attepms was enough
