Default Emerald City Comic Con 2011 March 5th, 6th, and 7th

I attended last years show, and Hot Damn did I have a fantastic time. I'm surprised that no one else has started a thread for this con. I am doing everything in my power to attend this year.

http://www.emeraldcitycomicon.com/

Lot's of great comic creators attend this show. If you have the funds, come out to the Northwest

I would like to go to the Emerald City ComicCon, but it's scheduled too close to WonderCon (1 month later).

If there were more things to do in the area, I would consider it as I would be bringing the wife, but I've been there before and aside from shopping and sitting in traffic, there isn't much else to do.

It's been years since I visited the Emerald City. I were to go to Seattle, I visit the grave of Bruce Lee, Kurt Cobain and Jimi Hendrix. I'd hang out by Fisherman Warf, probably take a cruise around the area. I'm sure I'd find a ton of things to do while I'm there.

So you are making the trip? All that sweet bootlegging money?

It'll be interesting to see what Quitely does. He's not in the artist alley, so it'll probably be a bitch and a half to see him.

Bootlegging isn't about drug cartels. I guess you really can't speak English.

I'll be there. Was there last year and found it funny that Geoff Johns put an entitled fan boy in his place. Magic. I did managed to get my AllNeedfulThings black lantern ring signed by Geoff, and that's on my mantle.

The only complaint I had about last year was Thomas Jane was kind of a douche. And Lou Ferrigno charged me and my wife and son 50 bucks to take a picture with him with our own camera...

But it's a good time. For those who say there isn't anything to do, I disagree. The world famous Space Needle is here, the EMP (Experience Music Project, which is very cool) and the Science Fiction Museum. They have an original R2D2 model, an original suit from the Ninja Turtles movies and loads more cool props and artifacts.

Plus theres Pike Place Market, two zoo's, the Duck Tours and Arogsy tours, aquariums, museums, the Con itself and more.

So if you say there isn't anything to do, then either you're incredibly hard to please or you're basically too lazy to try lol.

Six more weeks, 304. Looking forward to this one. And now we now not to get our hopes up with the TV/movie celebs. The comic book artists and writers are much more down to earth, and accommodating.
