Looks good to me, and good to see Rankorr being used well for once.

Definitely worth a read if you've given red lanterns a miss before. In comparison much better although the way Guy has been drawn can get a little distracting on the closeup shots, the artwork is great as well.
Seems like things could pick up from here , i'm going to give it a few issues.

I'm picking this up on my way home after work. You have me excited. If this is a good issue, it will be a first for this series.

You were right. It feels like it finally has direction. And
The art, aside from Guys face, was pretty good. First issue
Of this series that I did not put away in disgust.
I'm still not happy with Guy being a RL though.

Along with apparently others, this is the first Red Lanterns issue that I've actually liked, it was a pleasant surprise.

I thought it was funny that Guy outright said ZZ looks like a testicle.

Also, I felt very sad for all those Chaselon aliens.

I liked it. Red Lanterns actually made me laugh (which is odd since that's the job of Larfleeze now)

The issue wasn't bad but I'm not sure it was good either. I foresee it having some growing pains as the new creative team takes over.

Speaking as someone not totally in love with the emotional spectrum, I was really impressed with this issue. This is the first time I've actually laughed out loud several times while reading a GL book in several years. Guy was as riot! I loved the dialogue and interactions of all the characters.

Here's hoping Atty and that stupid cat stay out of the book for a while. Looking forward to the next issue.

"That stupid cat"? Dex-starr will lap the blood from your still beating heart and then take a 12 hour nap.

Or get punted away by a run-of-the-mill Green Lantern.

Whoaa! Seems like I stepped on the tail of a lot of Dex-Starr fans. No disrespect meant .Just seems like a bit of a double standard to me. G'nort is too silly for the current Powers That be, but the house cat gets to stay.

If there is a double standard in play, G'nort vs. Dex-Starr isn't really the demonstration of it, IMHO. Dex-Starr isn't really played as a comedic character for the most part. The real double standard would be G'nort vs. Larfleeze, I would think. At least the buffoon that Larfleeze has become. If Larfleeze is not only tolerated as he is, but gets his own series, it seems silly to object to G'nort as "too silly", I think.

Well, I wasn't really offended. If I was pressed to defend that I would say (1) what Mr. Ed said [Dex-starr isn't really a buffoon]; (2) I'm a cat person.

Default Cover

I wish they had put out the original cover for RL 22. This cover really didn't do it for me. And while we're at it, lets get Guy a new love interest. DC really dropped the ball with Ice. Who's with me?

This kind of sums it up for me. I finally got around to read it a few minutes ago because, well...it's Red Lanterns and the book sucks.

I was actually surprised to find that I was able to read the entire issue. It wasn't any good or anything, but it was a passable read and that's a HUGE step forward in improvement. The premise of Guy infiltrating the group as a spy for Hal and the GLC is flimsy, but I can certainly go with that. I'm assuming Guy will get "lost in the role" and do the tried and true plot point of him joining the reds in spirit JUST as his ploy is revealed to the other Red Lanterns.

But whatever. It's gotta be better than the first 20 issues of this rag.

Agreed, I thought that was what Bleez was, hopefully, it will still happen, maybe R'amey Holl.

The only highlights of the issue. Not a bad read but nothing too impressive either.
