Default Red Lanterns #15 *Spoilers*

Read this issue in about 2 minutes. Filler story for the most part, until the end. Red Lanterns are acting less and less Ragey and more and more...normal-ish.

First one in a while that didn't make me angry while reading it.

I'm not sure I'd call it a filler issue. It deals with Rankor dealing with what happened to him and Atrocitus ressurrecting the Manhunters (thankfully it doesn't retread his origin again). The red CPB is once more drawn correctly and we learn that the Inversions are behind it's weakness. All in all a good issue. I gave it a high mark because it's pretty rare for me not to get annoyed at something within RLs.

I found it puzzling - Atrocitus was attacked by a creature under the ground that was affecting his memories, causing him to hallucinate, so he did a "let's pull you out of there" attack, killing it? Atrocitus then uncovers all the Manhunters he buried so long ago.

The other stories, each of the RLs trying to find a way to make their own energy constructs, and then bringing the blood of their victims back to the CPB to re-charge it, was better.

This issue was absolutely awful. One of the worst ones yet. Terrible, terrible plotting, and full of holes.

EDIT: Review time: http://indigotribe.wordpress.com/201...d-lanterns-15/

DCBS hasn't sent me my issue yet, so I didn't vote. However, I'm surprised by the 3 one star votes.

This comic can't possibly be as bad as Simon Boring on the Green Lantern comic and I saw a lot of 4 stars on that one and frankly it was barely readable. For those that gave this a one star do you read Green Lantern and really think that comic is better than this one?

I haven't read a great issue of this comic yet, but I really haven't read any stinkers yet. With GL most of the time anymore that comic is absolutely atrocious. I can't pick one thing out interesting. Some of these Red Lanterns are at least a little interesting. What made this a one star comic, that has more plot holes than GL: New Guardians, or GL that has zero plot?

I just finished reading this issue (I use the DC Comics App on my iPod touch), and at the end, I was like, "NOOOOOOO....!!!" because the Manhunters that Atrocitus revived attacked him.

I hope that Atrocitus isn't dead...

I'm with wearaborg, but at start if you DON'T LIKE a red lantern comic, you're maybe just not made to read it. I ''worship'' the whole emotional spectrum because every role got an equal value to another. Now you can say and you have to say your opinion but consider this. Nothing is awful in the universe of the green lantern corps if you actually understand and like the core concept of weilding light.

I think there've been some stinkers in Red Lanterns. To me this one shone next to the average issue. Although SD has a point ... how exactly did Atrocitus manage to store these things? Based on the summery I had thought he'd use "blood magic" to repair broken Manhunters, not that he had somehow managed to store them.

Well, whatever. What's one more plot hole?

Overall, I still liked this issue, but once the First Lantern arc is done, I think I'm out.

You know, for us being fans of characters that are supposed to use their minds and be creative there sure really isn't very many clever insulting names that people come up with on these forums.

That aside I've never much been interested in the RLs, I feel like this series would thrive more if it wasn't connected to the crossovers and was left on it's own to really define what the Red Lanterns are.

Well Trigger I could have called him Sharia Lantern, but Simon really doesn't stand for anything other than victim hood, and I didn't want to insult Arabs.

I like the direction of the Red Lantern comic. I like seeing how these characters became rage monsters and how their moving towards their version of justice against true evil. It hasn't been perfect, and it's been a little slow, but I am seeing character growth. More than anything I like the way Red Lanterns stand their ground and find ways to overcome their obstacles.

Compared to the other GL comics this one isn't that bad. It's a 1000 times better than Batgirl, Teen Titans and Deathstroke.

I finally forced to read this issue last night. I've already forgotten what happened in it.

I dunno why but I laughed out loud at this part a few times. Probably because a giant floating brain was trying to figure it out and couldn't.
